This guy is the perfect embodiment of the American people. Loud, impulsive, assertive AND unintelligent. Couldn't have picked a better president.

This guy is awesome.

Hope the Americans have set a precedent here. I want more!

This guy is the perfect embodiment of the American people. Loud, impulsive, assertive AND unintelligent. Couldn't have picked a better president.

Couldn’t have said it better. His supporters on social media really make you lose iq points by reading what they write

You really need to understand what has been said before you reply, the poster said "perfect embodiment of the American people".

Trump is an ultimate representative of American people on domestic and international podium.
Trump does not equal science.
Almost half of the people have voted for someone who does not equal science in a country that lead the world in science.
Just because a country lead the world in science does not equal an over all intelligent population, a perfect example would be most of the Trump's supporters.
Matter of fact American ranks worse in education compare to other developed country.

So yea, I did read your comment and understood it quite well.

Did Iran threaten the USA recently? This is most definitely a threat, just need to understand if it was in response to something an Iranian official said.

Kudos to the Iranian govt. for having maintained an anti-US stance for so long, with all it costs on so many levels, while others buy from Trump weapons worth 350-400 billions dollar, mainly to kill their Arab/Muslim neighbors in Yemen anyway (and at the same time "opening itself up" to the Jewish state).

It's an usual thing down there.

Is it just a case of one empty threat being met by another?

Is it just a case of one empty threat being met by another?

They have been threatening Iran since the revolution in 1979. Nethanyahu has been talking of Nuclear Iran since the early 90's.

Iran isn't Syria or Libya, any attack on Iran will turn the whole region into a bomb ravaged place. The extremists in power in Israel and US reguarly use Iran to look strong, nothing more.

Your idea of an argument apparently is rambling on, repeating yourself, and then again saying the same illogical thing you said earlier.

To be clear, I do not regard the American people as unintelligent, as their country leads the world in the sciences.

It's a country of 325 million. USA has some amazing talented, intellects, human rights activists, scientists, sportsmen etc

But I would say at least 100 million in the US are as thick as bricks + anyone who voted for Trump or like Trump.

Who said I was in argument with you? I told you that you are wrong.

I regard every American unintelligent who has voted for Trump. That makes almost half of the population who can contest vote in 2016

And since you love data to justify your misinformation, American rank one of the worse in education in a developed world. That fact is neither illogical nor rambling.

So now try to dispute the facts I have provided without dropping low in an attempt to try to insult me.

Iran abided by the terms of the nuclear deal yet Trump still withdrew from it because the black guy signed it.

As for demented threats of violence against other countries - he knowd a thing or two about it as only a few months ago he talked about "fire and fury the world has never seen" in relation to North Korea.

Talk is cheap. They threatened the same to North Korea doing nothing in the end. Iran is probably more powerful then NK. Nothing is gonna happen.

Its purely a diversion tactic to get the putin thing off the media. Its almost boring now.

100 million for the US will be about 33%. Most countries of the world average 50% thick as bricks :))

62.98 million voted for Trump but his support is a lot more if you add those who were too lazy to vote or under the age. Which nations are you alluding to, certainly not the UK. :)

That tweet is ludicrous, reads like the kind of “threatening” thing you get sent in a text by an unknown number when you are 13 years old. Mad Caps Lock is not a good look, President Trump take note.

Why do they have the biggest economy and generally lead the word then?

Unintelligent? They do lead the world in the sciences.

My comment was about the average Joe in the states who has many similarities to Trump. America leading the world in sciences and having the largest economy doesn't equate to a large majority of the population being civilised and intellectual. It says more about the foundation of the nation that the forefathers established and the open nature of the market. The average American is an unintelligent, obese, loud, low-income individual who isn't necessarily equivalent to the Tim Cook's and Elon Musks' of the world. When you have a nation of 300 million+ people, you are bound to have a lot of variation between them. It's like saying all Aussies are good at cricket since they have won the most world cups. A very illogical and unfair argument.

Says a lot when most of America claims they didn't want him, yet he still won the election.

All of America's history is them committing crimes against humanity and then claiming how "it isnt the America they grew up in".

Because the aliens help them and they are filled with super intelligent Lizard people in guise of Humans.

Nice try to spin your way out of what you had said earlier.

To wit "This guy is the perfect embodiment of the American people. Loud, impulsive, assertive AND unintelligent."

It was you who was said "American people", which would would mean all or most Americans. When challenged by Slog and me, you reply "It's like saying all Aussies are good at cricket".

You do realize, disagreeing with "all or most Americans are unintelligent" does not imply "ALL Americans are intelligent".

I'm not spinning anything. Try to read my post in context instead of just extracting a quote out of it. I am saying that the average American has qualities that are similar to the one's that Trump has. If you fail to realise that his voters aren't the most intellectual people out there, then you might be one of those voters.

This.

Just because a nation leads the world in certain fields doesn't elevate the intellect of the whole population.

If you mean "the average American", then don't write "the American people". These phrases have different meanings.

For example, if I were to say "the American people" are of European ancestry, it would be wrong as they have various different ancestries. However, it wouldn't be wrong to say "the average American" is of European ancestry.

My use of "The American People" was similar to Obama's use in https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...esident-obama-final-news-conference/96726504/

It's a literary device to address the average American and is a common phrase to address them.

In small caps.

Talk like this is why Trump won btw. The left just telling these people "you know nothing" "omg you're so backward" instead of informing them or understanding their issues.

There are some very, very smart people who voted for Trump. I have been through rural America and some of the most ignorant people do have good intelligence. They have just been misinformed

How can you have good intelligence and ignorant at the same time in 2018?

How can you have good intelligence and ignorant at the same time in 2018?

Because you don't know what you don't know. You can be smart as hell but if someone gives you a false picture and doesn't give you the chance to believe anything else it isn't your fault

1) He’s a lot smarter than people like to or will give him credit for.

2) It requires a tremendous amount of ego, perseverance, intelligence to become head of state in the worlds most powerful country.

3) Trump loves to use the media to sensationalize in the opposite direction of Kennedy. Where as Kennedy used it to promote a family friendly approach, Trump uses it to establish an aloof approach to his actions. This is the reason why no matter what he says, where he says it, he will continue garnering support because his name is on everyone’s tongue.

As Hitler stated, “Make the lie big. Make it simple. Keep saying it and eventually they will believe it”.

No offence but this is one of the more stupid posts I've read in recent times

What an ignorant comment. I work in a tech company where average Americans are some of the smartest people I know. I went to an American university where there were also some really intelligent people.

You my friend are the ignorant one here, generalizing a nation based on some hicks found in the central states.

This is your opinion.

Anyone who supports a person who openly joked of someones disability, openly racist and an alleged sex offender has to be stupid. These issues are not hidden but were shown widely in news reports for months before the election, so it has nothing to do with being misinformed.

They are ignorant and not stupid. I am a PTI supporter and want IK to him even though his party right now has some wretched people. These people thing Trump is the best man for the country. They are not as aware of the realities.

Are you seriously trying to tell me the millions who voted for Trump were unaware of his racism, sexual assault claims, mocking of disabilities amongst other things? His supporters are stupid because many of them are racist in nature, sexists and generally nationalistic idiots who think Americans are special above all other people of the world. They are also stupid because voting for him has done tho opposite, the USA has lost credibility and is seen as a laughing stock by much of the world. The longer he stays in power the more damage to the US's influence in the world, which is only a good thing.

I'm surprised people are arguing about Trump's vote base.

They are both extremely stupid and/or extremely racist/bigoted.

Is that right ? This is the man who constantly watches Fox News in the Oval Office and doesn't bother to read his briefing papers.

A man who claimed he "didn't know healthcare reform was so complicated" after several attempts to repeal and replace the ACA went down in flames.

A man who sounds like a babbling mess akin to the schoolboy who didn't do his book report in nearly every press conference.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_tTBkesVdr0" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

How can anyone watch this clip without cringing this is meant to be one of the world's foremost statesman.

He came to Europe then to England and didn't even know what a hard brexit was!!!

He then made out like he gave his advice to May on how to handle the negotiations, and this turned out to be suing the EU!!

I'm sad to say that you are in fact mistaken. I live in Florida, one of the most hotly contested states in the US. My father is a physician and I myself have an accounting firm where I regularly deal with educated professionals (doctors, lawyers, etc). Many of these people have freely and openly declared to my father and myself that they voted for Donald Trump. It's not just the dimwits in the US that got him elected. Most of them are happy because they can now spout their bigoted views. Even my father's employees (he also owns his own practice) told him how they voted for Trump. Fortunately, dad was able to turn it around by pointing out how most of their taxes were going up while Trump was giving him a tax break-they were very quiet after that!

Of course he’s not a politician but a failed businessman turned entertainer who rode the blue ocean strategy to the moon providing he has a cushion of billions.

However, he and his campaign team decided that there was going to be a clear strategy: don’t hold back. People were so sick of the political B.S. that the Republican Party candidates had been serving up that when they saw someone who was open, expressive, controversial with heaps of cash, they said, “Hey! He’s new and true to what we want to hear from a representative and we are going to vote for him”.

He may not be the sharpest tool in the thread but he’s definitely a lot smarter than the average individual and without a doubt, courageous enough to believe in his own B.S., even if for one second to convince others that he himself is convinced.

This is the age of technology, marked by shortened phrases and opinions, with a surreal amount of information available at a touch. Hence, the amount of communication allows for less of it because things are redundant and scrutinized. Trump having understood his landscape, seized the opportunity with both hands and WON.

They are ignorant and not stupid. I am a PTI supporter and want IK to him even though his party right now has some wretched people. These people thing Trump is the best man for the country. They are not as aware of the realities.

The same people are still sticking up for him after the infamous Helsinki fiasco even as many described it as the lowest of the low in the recent times for a head of such a powerful state.

But yeah I'm sure they are not aware of the realities even though most(heck all) of them have access to hundreds of articles and view points of countless scholars and political experts who are vehemently anti Trumps because of his general stance over almost everything.

I so pity them. Poor third world citizens of a backward country.

My friend read my post again.

I said his supporters are either stupid and or fascist bigots...

The biggest fans of the US these days seem to be Poland and Israel, possibly the two countries in the developed world with the hardest right-wing governments. Tells you what you need to know about Trump I guess.

.

Deluded, Narcissistic, Pathological liar maybe but definitely not courageous.

To add to that even 5 year olds make all sorts of outrageous claims and lie, does that make them courageous. He's just a spoiled, deluded man child.

He does have confidence though and as you mentioned he does believe his own lies so it does appear to the people that he is speaking the truth, the Mullahs, Televangelists, Conmen, Snakeoil salesmen etc do the same thing.

Courageous in the sense that he actually got through.

It takes massive courage to speak in front of thousands of people day in and day out knowing that you're every word is being scrutinized and could cost you more than just billions.

Nervous wrecks like Al Gore and Nixon (1960) lost for sighing into the microphone and sweating profusely. It is a battle of nerves more than anything since most people will watch the debate, even if they are "listening" to it.

P.S: I am not a fan of Trump or his policies.

I know you aren't but you miss my point. It may take courage for some people with some morality left in them to lie to millions day in and day out but to a person who has made his whole career on lying and selling their brand it is just second nature. These people are narcissists, psychopaths etc who just cater to themselves, Trump, like Hitler (among others) is just at the right place at the right time where there are enough angry/racist/desperate people who are willing to believe him.

Can’t argue with that.

The “saviors” or self-proclaimed “messiahs” usually come to power when a certain group of people are in desperate economic conditions.

Ex’s: Totalitarian Figure Heads during the 30’s, Elijah Muhammad during the 50’s, etc.
