Our team has great potential to be the last one. Only team we have to watch out is WI.

It will be funny if we loose 4-0 this series and then win in the world cup on june 3.

Pakistan hasn't been defeated convincingly. In all the 3 matches they posted mammoth total and fought. England were too good for them. So Buttler can say that .

One thing you have to remember is that England team is heavily batting oriented.

I would like to see how Pakistan plays better bowling attacks of Australia and India in similar conditions.

But if its a batting shoot out, I don't think Pakistan will win the Cup.

I’m more worried about the pitches for the WC. It would be disgraceful if they turn out to be the same as in this series.

They will get better as the tournament progresses / warm weather but do expect the batsman to be favoured, I do think good spin and good death bowling will be massive in deciding the winner. External factor: there will be days which are very cloudy in the mornings, may help the seamer but if you're not a good chasing side maybe you will think twice about bowling first, I would want to know my target in any case especially in this WC

Good spinners and death bowlers.

Apparently we have no good spinner (darter Imad ) and no good death bowler (Amir is good but unproven for a long time now).

I don't have much hope from Pak bowling.

On another note whom would you be supporting in the WC? England or Pakistan?

I guess will be more of the same fare....ICC wants backsides on seats, eyeballs on tv....i guess the odd match where it will swing round corners...i guess teams with long batting orders and also the better fielding sides are going to be going long as the tournament progresses....the bowlers will be just helpless hacks - 10-0-60-1 will be the new 'well bowled'...

I still feel India will do better because they have quality Pacers They have variations
Far better than any other international side currently playing in this world cup. Yes if the piches remain same their spinners will be ineffective which will be a big setback for them.

Butler Bhaya you are overestimating Pakistan we rate them as they are bad and unprofessional cricket team. It is possible that they may click in the World Cup and even win it as they did in CT, but that is all.

As the matches get played pitches and ground will Deteriorate, spin and reverse swing will play a big factor.

A very good point. Once this Bam Bam style batting faces the challenge of rough older wickets, it will be a different ball game.

Also, the team intensity will pick up. Pak fielding, which has gone south in standard set in 2017 CT, would probably be back to same standard. I still think that a little spark can peak this team again in the WC leading to great results. I am not giving up on this team. Even if we get in semis as #4, we can win it all.

Pakistan were getting spanked in the match yesterday, then all of a sudden, 4 wickets, in 3 overs, and had Sarfraz appealed for the run out, who knows Pakistan would have won!

This sort of unpredictability is unique with Pakistan.

To be fair that was just some awful batting from England. Getting out to full tosses outside leg stump (Butler) , going for ugly hoicks (Root and Moeen) , getting caught to wide deliveries outside the leg stump (Roy). Hardly anything special in bowling.

Yup bad bowling, undermining England's' victories then!

In other words, England won because of Pakistan's poor bowling, not their batting skill - right?

Exactly. Not every match in the world cup is against the #1 side.

Doubt it, They'll be under ICC control. Pitches during the Champions Trophy were decent.

Eng's batting on dead pitches is light years ahead of anyone else. Pakistani fans should be happy that we are somewhat challenging eng. 2nd and 4th odi we have challenged them well.

I agree as these wickets have absolutely nothing for bowers. Too monotonous to watch.

People complaining about the pitches can either stop watching and send a message to the ICC or shut up and enjoy what the high scoring matches have to offer.

I like Buttler. Tbf Pakistan have been competitive with the bat this series, and we have been a lot more competitive this series compared to last time we played a series in England. Shame our bowling and fielding hasn't been up to standard though

Anyone can win the WC that is a very open tournament. He is just stating the obvious here but we are not one of the favourites for the WC.

Pakistan was unlucky to lose toss in 3 ODIs so far. If Pakistan got chance to bat second in every game, the equation would have been different.

Butter is man of many talents. He would also be a good stand-up comedian.

It would be disrespectful to put down a team in front of the media but deep down England know they are a better team and will face tougher challenges.
Pakistans best chance is if pitches become more bowler friendly and lower scoring matches happen.

What drug is Buttler on

Batsman cant pace an innings to save there lives these are 100 (70) pitches & not 100 (110)

Fielders were letting balls go through there legs not even Sunday league cricketers would stoop that low in fielding standards.

Bowlers not enough fitness/strength to bowl yorkers.

Fat keeper could not even dive to his right to catch a sitter was too tired in the 48th over.
