Drama free tour of Pakistan by top teams

Looking at how long WI is taking to name a squad to tour Pak, it makes me wonder how long it will be before we will see a drama free tour of Pak by all top team. When I say drama free, I mean

• no shenanigans by players and admins about security or any other situation
• teams will have to be full strength exception being injuries
• complete tour, including reasonable number of tests, say two or three, few ODIs and LOIs (3 each??)
• All teams fulfilling their future tours commitments
• Absolutely no Pak home cricket in UAE

how many years do you think it will take? my prediction is at least 5 to 8 years away. May be by 2025 or 2027

It all depends on the political leadership. Link cricket with diplomatic ties and have India visit Pakistan. That will open the doors for the rest. Until India does, u can forget about England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa.

Getting BD to tour Pak would be the first thing PCB should try next.

actually if the political situation improves, i am willing to bet India will visit within a year. But even then Aus and NZ are not easy to convince. Remember Aussies were not touring even before the attack on SL

If such tours continue and security keeps improving, then i would say 3-4 more years and Pak will see a full tour by a strong Full Member team.

I am not talking about one tour, i am talking about all teams traveling without any drama. Only exception could be India due to obvious political situation. If we are talking about one team visiting for a full tour, that might happen even earlier

That will take time bro, even if Pakistan is declared as safest country in World, it will take some mighty effort to convince top teams. One thing PCB has to make sure is that they have to continue these small T20I tours even if it costs them heavily, if they stop this thing all good work will come to an end.

More and more players are now happy to travel to Pakistan without much hassle, JPD coming to Pakistan despite not getting NOC from CSA is a sign that perception of people os changing.

Major problem is that PCB during exile years never tried anything to Bring back cricket home, they were sitting in their office doing nothing.if they had tried as hard as they are doing now, things might have been different.

Yes sir, it will take time.. that is the reason starting this thread, to speculate how long it will take. I think 5 to 8 years a fair amount of time and we should be seeing for normalcy brought back by 2025

The biggest mistake Pak made was to pay money to cricketers to tour Pak. now everyone expects it.. PCB should have insisted team tour on their own and PCB tours back as quid pro quo. May be Pak team can play couple of extra matches to make up for the effort the other team is putting in touring.. But cash in hand is going to make it complicated.. lets see

SA, WI, SL and BD are all options.. if PCB mends relationship with BD you might seem them touring as early as next year.. BD also plays considerably less number of tests and would love to play more
