Im not sure if Armstrong can be, due to his drug cheating but I dont think anyone can argue with this list. If you can, please do.

Tennis is Djokovic, he has pulverised Federer in numerous finals.

Later in his career(Fed).

If you could produce the perfect tennis player via a computer, Roger would be that man. Sublime at his best.

Federer? Federer was a choker who beat weak opponents. Djokovic and Nadal exposed the fraud too many times to count. He is the Tendulkar of tennis, pretty game but big choker and weak opponents basher.

Michael Jordan had his records obliterated by LeBron James. Lots of nostalgia here among posters. This is not 2005 anymore.

Why in your opinion was Jahangir the better of the two Khans?
He had chronic issues with his legs or to rightly put from his birth but he still managed to dominate undisputedly for more than a decade in British open and World championship...Janshir was a rising star who catch him in his twilight.

Numbers are numbers bro. Jansher was GOAT in terms of numbers

Numbers are only part of determining the GOAT. The all round skills is a major part. Nobody can play a ball like Jordan.

But its all about opinions.

Pele , Jordan , Phelps, Bolt, Ali.

Fair to say if black people take any physical sport seriously they hardly ll have any competition.

Jahangir and Dhyan Chand notable mentions.

Different times, Also Jordan has 3 consecutive twice once after leaving basketball.

Jordan is unequal in sports ,also basketball rules changed during Lebron, used to be much more physical back then, scoring was way tougher.

It’s not recency bias but how tough it was, similar to how 90s pitches were tougher for batsmen.

Ali had a much bigger impact away from sports as well as long legacy in boxing, he sits alone at the top.

My opinion

Football : Messi
Basketball : MJ
Snooker : Stephen Hendry
Boxing : Iron Mike
Tennis: I preferred Nadal to Fed

Agree Ali is the GOAT of all sports. Even if you ignore his outside legacy, in the ring, he was perfect in every facet.

Combat sports athletes cannot be compared to non combat sports athletes personality wise. Of course an Ali, a Tyson, a McGregor would always look more attractive personality wise.

You can’t compare that to Tiger Woods or Bradman

In terms of achievements. No one comes remotely close to Michael Phelps winning 23 Golds, 3 Silvers & 2 Bronze medals across 4 Olympics

Why in your opinion was Jahangir the better of the two Khans?
Jahangir Khan had an unbeaten 555-match streak (that is remarkable consistency) from 1981 to 1986! To date, a world record in any professional sport.

He also won the British Open Title (squash’s premier tournament) a record 10 consecutive times. That’s like winning 10 straight Wimbledon titles in tennis! Jansher won 6.

However Jansher won a record 8 world open titles, Jahangir (6)

Head to head (tournament matches): Jansher 19, Jahangir 17.

However they mostly played against each other in the late 80s when Jahangir was still good but perhaps past his prime

Both great players. I would give a slight edge to Jahangir

Hockey: Hassan Sardar

Player of the tournament of both 1982 Hockey World Cup and 1984 Los Angeles Hockey Olympics; both won by Pakistan

Do you think Luke Littler will one day surpass Taylor?

Jones is not the MMA goat, he fought Reyes who beat him but was robbed.

Football- maradona
Tennis - laver
Cricket- Bradman
Hockey- Dhyanchand
Chess- kasparov/Fisher can't decide.
I give more importance to peak than overall achievements.

In MMA you can have an excuse for anyone not being GOAT.

Fedor - never fought in ufc.
Silva - was bad towards the end of his career.
GSP - decision heavy fights and didn’t dominate different weight classes.
Khabib - retired too early, didn’t have much title defences and had only 1 weight class where he didn’t get to fight prime Tony for cuz reasons.
Jones - close calls/fights, PED and cheating fight style with eye pokes.

I think GOAT will be Islam by time he finishes his career, if he gets couple of title defences in the most stacked division of all time, he will definitely be the GOAT and deserving so.

He’s my favorite fighter right now, funny af.

I don’t watch darts now, from little I have read online the kid is really good and with darts being an old man’s game he might have decades of dominance ahead to overtake Taylor.

1. Speed skating (any distance): Eric Heiden/ Sven Kramer
2. Cross-Country skiing: Jonannes Høsflot Klæbo and of course the king himself Bjørn Dæhlie
3. Ski-jumping: Matti Nykänen
4. Nordic Combined: Eric Frenzel/ Ulrich Wehling
5. Alpine Skiing (all diciplines): Ingemar Stenmark/ Marcell Hirscher
6. Biathlon: Ole Einar Bjørndalen

This is a tough call because most of these sports have multiple disciplines, and some of the greatest athletes haven’t excelled—or even competed—in all of them. Still, I’ve tried to highlight the very best overall, though of course opinions may differ.

British GOAT of ski jumping is Eddie the eagle . Check him out on YouTube

Who is the greatest Norwegian winter sports athlete?

Who is the greatest Norwegian winter sports athlete?

I think that has to be Bjørn Dæhlie. The guy was insane, still remember him from 1994 Olympics here in Lillehammer.

But if you are to include women as well, then he has great competition from Marit Bjørgen, the queen. I think she has bigger biceps than most of the PP posters 🤭

We have a few speciall letters in Norwegian, when I type their names I use them, but not sure how they appear on your side?

Appears fine thanks! Out of interest do you guys learn skiing and winter sports early on in school?

I remember him now after googling, he is seriously skilled!

I think in every sport there can be an 'excuse' but the way I judge is at their peak their level in the sports and their achievements.

I dont think Khabib retired too early, sure he could have dominated for another 3/4 years but 29-0 is a good record, many MMA fighters dont even get to 29 fights. Khabib is the GOAT for me because this man arguably never lost a round and suffered 0 damage in any fight. This is unprecedented, will never happen again.

There is a famous saying her locally, translated litterally to : "Norwegians are born with skis on their feet.”

Starts way before school age. Historically skiing was primarily a means of transportation in Norway. For thousands of years, skis were used for travel between villages, hunting, and delivering mail during harsh winters when roads were impassable. Skiing started as a survival skill, deeply embedded in Norwegian life.
