What a champion player, has class, batting prowess, bowling skills, just have to admire his death bowling. Possesses the best disguised slower balls in cricket at the moment. And to top it all off...

...has a champion song!

Congrats to the West Indies.

Very overrated player but in some way symbolizes the current state of Windies cricket. Very good entertainer though.

That's what you love Windies, they know how to have fun [emoji1362][emoji1362][emoji1362]

Btw I am impressed by his death bowling skill, he has improved a lot... His flighted slow ball is an amazing addition, first time seen by a seamer!!

Dwayne Bravo, who is representing the Melbourne Renegades in KFC Big Bash League, on Thursday became the first cricketer to take 400 wickets in T20s. Bravo achieved this feat during a match against Hobart Hurricanes, where his five-for helped his team beat Hurricanes by seven wickets. Bravo finished the match with figures of five for 28 from his four overs and was adjudged as the player of the match. The West Indies all-rounder, who last represented the Caribbean side in the T20 series against Pakistan in September last year, had expressed doubt over his possible return to the national side in any format earlier this month.

"As far as internationals are concerned, I have been dropped from the West Indies team. I was dropped while I was fit. I don't think now, at 34, it would make any sense coming back," Bravo had said.

Bravo has established himself as a T20 player and now sees his future solely in the various T20 leagues around the world.

"I am looking at these tournaments as a chance to continue playing cricket. As long as I can play cricket, I am happy. I just need to see what is left for me, for my fans to see Dwayne Bravo playing cricket. That is my priority," he said.

Bravo has not played Test cricket in seven years and had not featured in an ODI since 2014.

Bravo's disciplined death-over bowling restricted Hobart Hurricanes to 164/8 in 20 overs. In reply, Renegades lost their captain and opener Aaron Finch early for just four runs. Following which, White (79 not out) and Marcus Harris's (50) steadied the innings and took the attack to the opposition before a late flourish from Brad Hodge (22 not out) helped them reach the target with nine balls to spare.

Way too overrated I never understood the hype.Hardly performs with the bat and very average with ball!

Absolute disappointment. Incredibly promising as a Test cricketer, went the mercenary route and failed to demonstrate consistent excellence at the international level. Shame he wasn't Australian or English, he'd have maximised his talent and exhibit more often.

His brother is the real deal though.

Bravo is a awesome limited overs player. Good lower order bat and good bowler as well.

Overrated in batting and bowling.

But underrated in his fielding abilities - best ever field imo - takes the running behind over the shoulder catch - amazingly.

Great player to watch in leagues these days! Already helped the Windies win 2 trophies

Agree his batting is overrated. Remember his innings in the World T20 final was awful. Scored 25 off 27 and could have/should have lost them the match but Carlos Braithwaite saved his blushes.

Could have become a good batsman in ODI's and maybe a number 6 in Tests but never picked as a cricketer due to leagues.
Mediocre international cricketer. Tremendous fielder tough.

Dwayne Bravo Pens Emotional Post On His "Great Journey" In IPL

Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on Friday took to social media to share a heartwarming message with his fans to announce his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a player and said that he looks forward to work with new bowlers as the bowling coach of the franchise he represented, Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Bravo will be taking over the role of the bowling coach from the 2023 season.

"After 15 years of playing in the most toughest T20 league, I announce today that I will be no longer be taking part in IPL. It's been a great journey, with a lot of ups and downs. At the same time, I am grateful to be a part of the IPL for the last 15 years. I know it's a sad day for myself, my family and most importantly my fans. But at the same time, I want us all to celebrate my career over the last 15 years," said Bravo in an Instagram post.

"As I get ready to move on and hang up my bowling boots, I would like to let my fans know that I am looking forward to putting on my coaching cap. I look forward to working with the young bowlers in CSK. I am really excited about this new opportunity; that my calling is now to help and develop the next generation of champions. Thank you for all the love and support over the years. Forever Yellove. #SirChampion," he added.

Chennai Super Kings had parted ways with Bravo and released him ahead of the IPL 2023 mini-auction.

Bravo is the highest-ever wicket-taker in the IPL, with 183 wickets from 161 matches. The all-rounder has also scored 1560 runs at a strike rate of around 130, playing key parts in many victories for the Super Kings.

Bravo has been an integral part of the Chennai Super Kings since 2011. He was a part of Chennai Super Kings' IPL victories in 2011, 2018 and 2021 and the Champions League T20 victory in 2014. He was also the first player to win the Purple Cap for most wickets in an IPL season twice (2013 and 2015).
