"Eid has come early for Pakistanis" : Mickey Arthur

Arthur made Azhar Ali our permanent Test opener and took the long overdue decision to promote Asad Shafiq. Arthur introduced Sami Aslam and Sohail Khan who were rotting on the sidelines under Waqar and those two made a huge difference on that England tour.

Arthur had no qualms in dropping a senior player like Mohammad Hafeez when it was clear he was a sitting duck against the Dukes ball outside Asia.

As for undefeated UAE streak - we all know Test team has been Misbah's baby. Even under tea drinker extraordinaire Mohsin Khan we beat England 3-0 in UAE. The tactics have remained the same regardless of coach - play attritional cricket, grind the opposition down by putting up big scores and attacking with spin.

It is naive to suggest that Waqar had little to do with our rise to no.1 and the culmination of his tenure which was the England win, obviously Mickey played a part in that but there's a reason why the current coach himself gave Waqar a lot of credit for our performance there as well. Misbah has had a lot of influence no doubt but Waqar also deserves credit, he was just sitting on his bum doing nothing; if he did then show us proof, if you disagree then you are also undermining Micky Arthers opinion so in the end I win because Mickey you have a strong bias in favour of him :yk2 anyhow Mickey I see as the better coach am the objective one in this instance and I have no issue in admitting that but I wouldn't go as far to say Younis did nothing for our test team and unbeaten record in uae
