Another t20 series, another ugly heave, another ugly dismissal. I feel sad now for Shezzy. Started off with a bang on his comeback in 2013, and looked alright in the t20 series in India 2012-13, and now he has well and truly gone into his shell and any attempts of him trying to break the shackles results in a wicket.

Is his time up? Don't know if Waqar would put up with this anymore. Afridi might try to look out for him again, but even his patience must be low now.

Do you guys think we should keep him around anymore, or has the time come for a replacement. And if we replace him, who do we replace him with?

He will keep getting selected as long as Afridi is playing. Need to get rid of them both, otherwise the torture will never end.

Ahmed Shehzad last 8 international innings :

4, 28, 13, 32, 12, 7, 17, 7

Sad thing is that this constitutes a somewhat decent run for him.

this last dismissal was so typical of Shehzad. Boundary, then a bunch of dots then a wicket.

And Sharjeel Khan with his 30+ average and 140+ Strike Rate is sitting outside of T20 team

This was it. Best chance for him to prove everyone wrong. Proved everyone right instead.

Stage is set for a new opener now.

There is no end. You are foolish if you think ANY number of bad performances will result in a change.

shezzy looked very good in both innings before getting out. needs a bit more time cos the class is obviously there.

you have to be trolling because I cannot believe anyone would write this post in seriousness

Unless you come up with someone better, he will always be "around".

There is no end for Shehzad. He will play 100 more international matches with no effort to improve, because that is just how it goes in Pakistan

Malik went close to fifty odd consecutive innings without crossing 50 and he is still in the side...Shahzad should be allowed to fail at least fifty times before he is put out and that too only temporarily and eventually be allowed back a few series later, much like Malik.

end of afridi would automatically end his chamchas career's .. and shehzad is the first in that pecking order

How do you come up with someone better when he is the one getting chances and others are sitting outside?

Mashallah what logic, "we should let people fail as much as they want because we let X fail as much as he wanted."

No wonder our team is terrible

His career will finish with his hero Afridi when Pakistan are knocked out of the World T20 2016. The chamchas Shehzad and Anwar Ali are not getting dropped until then so just accept it.

Shezzy needs to perform.

he does. but we saw a marked improvement in his game in the last 2 games. he was working the singles, hitting flowing boundaries.. he needs a bit of luck now to get out of the dreaded single figures dismissals

Afridi leaving Pak cricket will be good in the long term, as we all know Shehz ain't going no where.

Ahmed Shehzad's recent performance in T20Is:

7 17 7 28 4 16 9 and 8
A total of 96 runs at an average of 12

Just waiting for someone to give us some fancy charts and graphs and somehow blame Misbah for Shehzad's problems ;)

Hope not.

We're in the same group and he's proven he's a bona fide match winner :shehzad

People will now give you batting stats of maqsood, hafeez, afridi etc to show that shehzad isnt the only bad player and he shouldn't be singled out. Foolish thinking.

Lol 6 balls is enough for you to see marked improvement

I think he has some ability but his game has hardly developed since he was 17.

I would still have him in the Test team but until his game evolves he has no place in limited overs cricket.

If Sharjeel had been given as many chances in T20 I'm sure he would have had more match-winning or impactful performances.

How long can Pakistan persist with Ahmed Shehzad in T20Is?

Surely the time has come to take him out of the side and bring someone new, and fresh in?

I feel we're wasting players like Faheem/Asif Ali further down the order than they should be too.

We’re also wasting Shadab’s batting potential in T20

He is a gifted striker.

Another wonder of a selection from Inzy the revolutionary. When will he ever learn with his TTFs.

Even his biggest cheerleaders can't vouch for him on this one.

He should get a permanent boot. He is probably the worst opener in the world and that includes associates.

I asked Mickey Arthur this question a few days ago - watch out for his reply in an upcoming interview.

His career is like an asymptote, gets very close to zero but never actually touches it. After every failure we think his career is over but it never ends.

Of all the players that deserve to play for Pakistan how and why to we compensate for Shehzad. A poor innings today.

...and when he doesn't touch zero we [the fans] call that some kind of success

Unfortunately he sealed his place for next 2 series of that 24 runs.
