Waqar Younis speaking about Mark Wood on TV

"I suffered lot due to injuries in my career but then that is part of your life"

"When you bowl 90mph, you are going to get injured"

"Mark Wood has got such a powerful action, he's got a good jump and he lands so hard on his front foot"

"So it takes a lot out of his body but its so good nowadays, all these guys have a an excellent medical panel around them who find out the exact problem with the bowlers "

"In our days, it was very different as we had to work it out and change your action to fix the problem on your own"

"Its great to see Mark Wood back as he is a real talent and England are lucky to have a bowler like him"

"He swings the new and the old ball and he's a match-winner"

I rate him really highly for some reason

Can't get the Babar dismissal out of my head so good

Definatley a good bowler to watch, All action and always attacking and looking to take wickets and thats how fast bowlers should bowl.

Waqar on TV today:

"Winning this match means that there is every chance that Pakistan will beat Sri Lanka and get in to the semis"

"We know how good these bowlers (Hasan Ali, Junaid Khan) are and the conditions suited Pakistan as this was the third game on the same pitch and it was very dry"

"The ball got scuffed up and started reversing"

"Thats all you need, a little bit of reverse swing and Pakistani bowlers know how to control it"

"This is an art that Pakistan have brought into world cricket"

He is a trash bowler... right hand Tymal Mills and Wahab Riaz.

He probably sees a bit of himself in Wood when he was playing.

He didn't think on his feet. Bowled on both sides. short, wide, too full. May be beginners nerves. HE has some things going for him.

Didn't look a thinking bowler at all. In such a pacy, bouncy wicket you don't give even more pace to the batsman unless you're expecting to bowl nicking length.

Eh, doesn't even have speed now and can't seem to take wickets.

He's more like a slower Sami or a Wahab without the occasional brilliance.

Woody should be getting the new ball for England.

On his day he will bowl match winning spell or super expensive spell on bad day.
He gets carried away with short pitch stuff and that is his big problem. He should develop knuckle ball variation for t20s and ODIs.
