So should he hang around or move on? Seems he isnt sure himself!

Harry Kane must hold his hands up and admit he is partially to blame for Tottenham’s failings, rather than pointing the finger at his teammates.

Kane’s future at Tottenham has been a topic of hot debate ever since the striker admitted on an Instagram live chat that he wasn’t going to stay the club “for the sake of it.”

That has inevitably led to speculation that United were planning a blockbusting raid for the striker in the summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward’s position on a potential deal made clear by this report.

Since then, reports have suggested a disappointed Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was ready to sanction his sale to United if they were to match the world record fee of £200million – a theory that has since been denied.

However, pundit John Barnes is angry at Kane for suggesting a lack of quality at Tottenham has limited his trophy prospects – and the Liverpool legend has called on the player to take some responsbility in Spurs’ failings, rather than point the finger at either his club or his teammates.

“It’s a bit sad when players say that [wanting to leave a club if it doesn’t match their trophy ambitions]. I remember Wayne Rooney said that about Man United and he got a new contract,” Barnes exclusively told BonusCodeBets.

“That’s a modern phenomenon. Rooney was the first when he came out and said that about the club’s ambition matching his own, and Fergie wasn’t particularly happy, but he had to give him a new contract.

“But fans accept that now, which I don’t like, because fans should understand that your club is the most important thing, and for players aren’t going to be committed unless you’re winning, then you shouldn’t be at the club.”

“What he [Harry Kane] should say is ‘I’m going to I’m going to be the player to stay at Tottenham and help them to win things’.”

“As Bill Shankly said, ‘If you can’t play for us when we lose, don’t play for us when we’re winning,’ and if you’re a player, you’re part of the reason you’re not winning. So, if you think you’re better than your teammates, and you’re blaming your teammates for not winning, rather than looking at yourself, then that’s a big problem for football club. So, that is not a good thing to say.”

Barnes, meanwhile, has also called for a salary cap to be implemented in the Premier League to ensure a more level playing field and ensure there is not such a huge disparity between what those at the top of the game earn versus those in the lower leagues.

“I have been advocating a transfer cap and salary cap in the Premier League for years,” Barnes added.

“Given that that we have never had a situation like this before, with the financial uncertainty coronavirus has brought man people, there should be a salary cap and a transfer cap, because then clubs will be able to manage their money better.

“For example, in America where you have a system whereby you know the amount of money that you’re going to make, you are still going to be successful, even if you were to lose every single game. If you’re going to run football as a business, that’s the best scenario for it to be, you make more money if you’re successful, but you’re not going to lose money and go to the wall if you’re not.

“In England and Europe, most clubs depend on success to be commercially viable, which of course in these times when there is no cap on the amount.

“What can happen is, like with Harry Kane, when he says he wants to go play for another club, or better club to win, that will happen because there is no cap so any club, who is financially strong, can just find all the best players in order to win. So, a salary cap and a transfer cap would be the best way forward.”

If he gets a better offer somewhere, he should go. I don't see anything wrong with it.

200m is a funny.

Kane is injury prone, lacks pace and his form has been up and down recently.

Spurs like other clubs have lost money, so Levy being tight will sell Kane but he will be lucky to get 120m.

Football was not immune to this pandemic, if anything it’s been hit very badly.
I think the days of huge prices are over for now...

Clubs will have to be prudent. Its simply not fair that Staff are laid up or have to take big salary cuts and other businesses, street vendors etc, are obliterated whilst players take home 25k upto £350k per week...

You are right in that Kane is injury prone and taking everything else into account I think he’ll go for £70m..

I disagree. Football is bigger than ever, these days stadiums are full with tourists who dont even understand what they are watching. Its difficult to get a ticket to a Premier league game unless you are a season ticket holder or member. Once the lockdown is fully over and things return to normal, the big clubs will stay pay big bucks for the stars with huge salaries.

I dont have any issus with players earning big bucks, they are world stars who are in great demand. You dont pay a player 250,000k a week if there are hundreds of players like him around.

Those who are struggling should look a the government not football players. The Tory MP Matt Hancock was asked if he and the cabinet will be taking a pay cut as the NZ government ministers are, he replied no.

Harry Kane needs to be a great team now to score 20 PL goals a season, he is not the same player he was 18 months ago.

I think you're cracking up not me.

Ive always believed football stars should be paid highly, Messi getting 500k a week if more than fair, there has never been a Messi.

Why do you think they should be paid less? Either debate or dont reply.

Tickets????
Football tickets? Tourists?

Pull your head out of RT and look at the word my deluded friend

Business will not allow for the inflated prices, not for a long time.
Only a person who believes in conspiracies will argue that the world (economy) will return back to normal like a snap of the infinity stones.

So if Kane is going this summer then who the he’ll is going to pay £120m?????

Have you ever been Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge or any other big stadium recently?

"This research cements the huge pull that Premier League football has in attracting international tourists to Britain with people keen to visit the clubs of their sporting heroes, not only experiencing the excitement and atmosphere of a match, but associated visitor attractions and destinations," said VisitBritain director Patricia Yates.

This is from the Premier League, yes its a conspriacy. lol

My friend, time to take a break and stop stressing.

Never suggested back to normal, you're seeing stars mate.

Football is not like other businesses, which is why the Saudis are investing in Newcastle. I will bump this when the next world record fee is broken within the next couple of seasons. Of course there will be a short term blip but to suggest football or footballers wont me making serious money , is not a conspiracy theory, it's foolish thought.

Ok let’s stop here. Do you think you can without having to have the last word?

Last time I checked the tourism industry is dead and this will be the case for several months...

People have lost their businesses and people have lost their jobs, and this is in the premier league.
So yes big money will be spent again and I don’t think anyone is denying that.

BUT this thread is about Kane.... in five years he won’t be worth 30m let alone 120m,
In three months I doubt very much anyone will be able to pay £120m...

I agree, Kane should stay at Spurs for the next few months. He will get a better deal in the January transfer window.

Manchester United redraw budget and accept player of Kane's cost out of reach

Manchester United are redrawing their transfer strategy because of financial uncertainty caused by coronavirus and accept it will leave them unable to buy a striker as expensive as Harry Kane.

A proven goalscorer of the quality of Tottenham’s centre-forward is among prospective targets for Ole Gunnar Solskjær. In a regular summer United would make the money available for the manager to consider a move for the 26-year-old, who has said he will not stay at Spurs “for the sake of it” if he does not feel his boyhood club are going in the right direction.

Yet with Kane under contract until 2024 he would cost in the region of £150m – a fee that has become unrealistic for United because of the lack of clarity on budgets amid Covid-19.

Although Premier League clubs have discussed a return on the weekend of 13-14 June this is a best-case scenario, with a worst-case modelled on no return until October. If the season resumes behind closed doors millions of pounds of match-day revenue will be lost; if no games are played the hit to revenue will be far more substantial, notably because of missing broadcast money.

United have four home league games remaining and five away matches. Solskjaer’s side also have a Europa League last-16 second leg at Old Trafford against LASK, though with a 5-0 lead they can all but count on at least one more home match. Uefa wants to conclude the competition in August, along with the Champions League.

I think best thing will be for him to stay put - Dont think he is being kicked out either.

Harry Kane has reiterated his desire to win trophies following Tottenham's Carabao Cup final defeat and amid continued speculation over his future.

England captain Kane, 27, is yet to win a trophy at Spurs, with the loss to Manchester City his third in a final.

The Spurs academy graduate described the season as "disappointing", with the club seventh in the Premier League.

"I want to be winning the biggest prizes there are to offer and we are not quite doing that," Kane said.

Kane's current contract runs until 2024 but he has been frequently linked with a move away in recent weeks.

He has scored 31 goals in 44 appearances this season and this week won the Premier League Player of the Year at the London Football Awards.

"Individual awards are great - they are fantastic achievements," Kane told Sky Sports.

"When I look back at the end of my career, these are the things I will go over and take in more but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies.

"It is bittersweet. I would rather be winning team trophies and this one but it is what it is.

"I am proud to win it; it means it's been a good season on the pitch. So I have got to try and continue what I am doing."

He needs to move on from Spurs if he wants to win trophies.

I can't see him winning anything at Spurs unless they fluke a Carabao Cup or two in the next few years.

Kane will leave, Chelsea or Man Utd will sign him, slightly cheaper option than Haaland and proven in England, rumours are he would not sign for another London based team so either Manchester clubs can get him, city don’t want him tho so will go to Utd another maguire situation

Although he will never win anything at Spurs I don't think they will sell him to any English side. He will surely leave if any side from abroad comes in from him. Selling their best player to another English side will suggest Spurs have no ambition.

Rumours that Kane was an Arsenal fan as a kid.

You never know, stranger things have happened......if the Arsenal owners splash the cash.

He was an Arsenal fan but I don't see him coming to us, even if we win the Europa League.

My money is on Man City where he's guaranteed champions league football and winning at least one trophy per season.

I would say if Mbappe leaves PSG for Real Madrid, Kane is the best option to replace him at PSG.

I doubt the Spurs would sell him to a English team. Especially one in the Big 6.

This season would be his last chance to leave & join any big club. If he doesn't leave at the end of this season he will be stuck at Spurs for his remaining career & a player of his quality should at least win 1 silverware in his career.

Spurs I hear will want £200 million for Kane. In the current financial climate no one will even pay half of that. I don't think Man City want him neither should Spurs sell to supposed rivals. I don't want him at Liverpool, he won't fit in to JK's style of high energy Football. Would much prefer Liverpool sign Son from Spurs:shan

He has 3 years left on his contract. Not sure with the current economic situation who could afford him as Spurs would want well over a 100 million.

Harry Kane has again told Tottenham he wants to leave this summer.

Spurs are now making enquiries about replacement centre-forwards, in the first indication that the club are willing to consider the feelings of their 27-year-old talisman.

They do not want to sell their prized asset, but Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been in touch with Kane's representatives CK66 expressing a desire to sign the England international.

Harry Kane has said to play with Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne would be a "striker's dream".
City have already been heavily linked with the Spurs striker, who has told Tottenham he wants to leave the club this summer, and his remarks on De Bruyne, made to Gary Neville's The Overlap YouTube channel, will only fuel speculation that Kane may prefer to move to the Premier League champions.

"When I watch De Bruyne play he's a special, special player and some of the balls I see him put in for City are just a striker's dream if I'm honest," said Kane. "He's an outstanding player with the ball, off the ball, pressing, but his delivery is as good as I've ever seen to be honest."

not sure if hes the right striker for city, he can drop and dictate play like pep likes he strikers, but against scotland he was exposed for pace and was easily outrun by average defenders.

Harry Kane: Man City make £100m transfer bid for Tottenham striker

Manchester City have made a £100m bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

City are open to including players in addition to the cash offer, but Tottenham are expected to reject the bid.

Sky Sports News exclusively reported last month that Kane had told Spurs he wanted to leave this summer with Man City, Manchester United and Chelsea interested.

Kane is valued at upwards of £120m and Tottenham keen to keep him despite the 27-year-old believing he has a gentleman's agreement with Daniel Levy.

The England captain is said to be fully focused on the Euros, with a decision on his club future not expected before the conclusion of the tournament.

Man City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said after last month's Champions League final that the club will be "competitive and aggressive" this summer, and are aiming to strengthen by bringing "quality to the squad in a couple of key positions".

The Premier League champions' priority is to replace Sergio Aguero, with Kane being considered along with Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

£100M - that is going to be tough to turn down for Spurs.

The problem is though of that £100M they'll spend some of it on average waste of money signings.

They owe hundreds of millions for the new stadium.
Will be interesting to see whether they pay some of that off or re-invest it.

Harry Kane: England striker has had no contact with Tottenham over future while at Euro 2020

England captain Harry Kane says he has had no contact with Tottenham regarding his future as he focuses on peaking in time to help his country at Euro 2020.

The 27-year-old's club situation has been the topic of heavy speculation after he told Spurs he wanted to leave.

He has been linked with Premier League champions Manchester City.

"It doesn't really bother me about the outside noise," said Kane. "When I'm here I'm with the boys, I try to help the boys, be a leader in the team."

Kane has yet to score at Euro 2020, but says transfer speculation has nothing to do with that.

"I feel like it's one of them where if you're not scoring as a striker, people look for every little angle why you're not scoring and that's probably the case in this tournament so far," he said. "But like I said, as long as I'm focused, I've got the self-belief I have, I'm not worried about anyone else."

Kane, who scored 33 goals in 49 games in all competitions last season, said he has only spoken to his agent, who is his brother, to receive good luck messages before Euro 2020.

He says he speaks to a Tottenham club doctor for a brief check-up after England fixtures but when asked if he has had any contact with the club over his future he said: "I have good luck messages and things like that but nothing to do with the personal stuff with the club really.

"If I'm totally honest I don't really read anything, no media.

"The most important thing is about us as a group and us a staff and as a nation and when you are in these tournament modes, sometimes it's easy to get caught away with other stuff but the experience I've had in the last few tournaments, is just to focus on this and do what you can in the moment and leave no regrets."

Harry Kane has failed to show up at Tottenham's training ground for the second day in a row, but is expected to return this weekend.

The 28-year-old was due to return to Hotspur Way on Monday following a short holiday as speculation around his future gathers pace.

But Kane did not report for pre-season training and was also absent on Tuesday morning.

Kane's got the 'ump!!:)):)) He believes the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has gone back on his promise of letting him leave this summer. This may be so but in the world of big business promises are made to be broken so he's just got to get on with it. I don't see anyone including Man City willing to pay £160 million that Spurs want for him meaning this thing could run on until the last day of the transfer window if not beyond. Spurs' inactivity in the market over the past few weeks won't exactly fill Kane with much confidence either or give him much reason for hope. Kane who isn't winning anything with Spurs needs to move on at this stage of his career is he seriously has ambitions to win the EPL and Champions League like Mo Salah and co have done over the past few years:faf Former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp says Daniel Levy doesn't care if Kane walks around with a long face, too bad.

Surely the Man City bid for him will be coming soon?

Tottenham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo says striker Harry Kane will be available to face Manchester City in Sunday's Premier League season opener.

Kane, 28, who wants to leave Spurs this summer, returned to Hotspur Way on Saturday amid speculation over his future at Tottenham and is quarantining at the club's training ground hotel, The Lodge, until Thursday.

Nuno confirmed that he will hold "socially distanced" talks later on Monday with Kane, who has denied that he refused to turn up to training last week, insisting his Saturday return was "planned".

Harry Kane will find it impossible to stay at Tottenham after his summer transfer saga.

Former Tottenham keeper Paul Robinson insists there is no way back for Kane after his very public demand to leave as he pushes for a move to Manchester City.

Robinson also said the fall-out will “not bode well” for Kane and warned that if they try to play him then it could cause problems in the dressing room and he will not do himself justice on the pitch.

Tottenham face City on Sunday with Spurs boss Nuno insisting that Kane will be available for selection despite him only reporting back for training last weekend.

“I think the way that he’s conducted himself and the way he’s been badly advised, or whether he’s made these decisions on his own, will not bode well for him.

“It’s a deal we all hope will be done sooner rather than later. The cleaner it’s done, the less likely it is to tarnish the club or the player.

“There’s only one way Harry Kane stays at Spurs and that’s by resolving the whole situation by coming out and publicly saying things have changed, that he’s happy to play for the new manager and wants to stay at the club. Other than that, I can’t see any other way that he stays.”

England captain Kane wants to leave Tottenham to win major trophies and initially Spurs fans were sympathetic but the public fall-out has divided opinion after he stayed away from training, later insisting he was not due back until the weekend.

Robinson, who had four years at Tottenham, added: “The manager’s saying he’s available for selection against Manchester City on Sunday.

"But I find that strange given he’s only trained for a few days and not played any minutes in pre-season games. I can’t see how that can happen.

“If the manager does start putting him in to squads and into the team while the situation is not resolved, I think we’ll end up in a similar situation to when Christian Eriksen was there – sitting on the bench, not playing to his full potential when called upon.

“That upset the rest of the dressing room, in all honesty, and I think the way this has been handled has not been good for either party. It’s very difficult to keep a player happy when he wants to leave.

“Kane said he wants to go, City have said they want him. It’s just a case of sorting the finances out.

“Tottenham hold the cards at the moment. Harry Kane is contracted to Tottenham. Unfortunately for him, because he doesn’t want to be there, they pay his wages and when they say they want him at training he should be at training.”

Manchester City are prepared to pay €150m (£127m) to sign England striker Harry Kane, 28, from Tottenham.

Kane hopes his future will be more clear next week after Spurs kick off their Premier League campaign at home to City, the club that want him

Harry Kane rejoined group training with his Tottenham team-mates on Friday following talks with manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The club are preparing for their opening Premier League game of the season against Manchester City on Sunday, live on Sky Sports, as speculation over Kane's future intensifies.

The striker has been training individually while quarantining at the club's training complex since Saturday after returning to the UK from the Bahamas, via Florida.

Kane undertook his day-five PCR Covid-19 test on Thursday, which proved negative, and he will continue training over the weekend.

Speaking in Friday's news conference, Nuno said he would decide whether to pick Kane against City after Saturday's training session.

Nuno said: "He joined the group today, he trained, we had a talk. Of course, it is a private conversation, but everything is OK. He is preparing himself.

"We still have the session of Saturday to decide. We have to think and we have Saturday to make the decision."

On whether Kane would be in the right frame of mind to play, Nuno added: "I don't have any concerns about trying to convince players to play for Tottenham.

"It's such a huge club, it's such a fantastic club. We should be proud of being here."

Tottenham have made it clear to Manchester City that they have no intention to sell striker Harry Kane this summer, says David Ornstein

Kane was originally expected to return to the club's training ground for pre-season tests on August 2 but instead arrived five days later.

The England captain denied he had refused to report for training, instead insisting his late return was "planned".

Kane has told Spurs he wants to leave the club this summer and City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed his interest in signing the striker.

However, Kane has three years remaining on his six-year Spurs contract and chairman Daniel Levy has made it clear he does not want to sell last season's Premier League top goalscorer.

Kane and Nuno were due to hold socially distanced talks earlier this week for the first time since the head coach's appointment last month, with the Portuguese keen to "solve all the situations".

Guardiola admitted City's interest in signing Kane last week, but said unless Spurs were willing to negotiate then their quest to sign the 28-year-old was "finished".

Manchester City tabled a £100m bid for Kane earlier in the transfer window, which was rejected by Tottenham.

With Man City the club Kane has been linked to, I'm sure this isn't a coincidence.

Basically Man City told him they wont come in with the £150m

So all that justification about picking up a cup and then the noise about transfer and then reporting late for practice was planned?.

Agreeing an extension with no buy out clause was absolutely amateurish from Kane and his agent..
Levy played them like a cheap brass

So all that justification about picking up a cup and then the noise about transfer and then reporting late for practice was planned?.

He was poorly advised by his PR team, which included his brother who he has now sacked. I think he was told to act disruptive to force a move through and force Man Citys hand, unfortunately for him Man city were preoccupied with Grealish and Levy is one of the more astute chairman around , left with egg on his face and this groveling U turn.

Interesting to say hes only staying this summer only. Try again next season.

Harry Kane makes first league start of season for Spurs in game vs Watford

Harry Kane insists his reputation at Tottenham remains strong despite pushing for a move to Manchester City during the transfer window.

Kane looked set to head to the Etihad Stadium for a record fee earlier in the summer, having returned late to pre-season training as reports of a move rumbled on.

With speculation over his future rife, the England captain then posted on Twitter last week committing himself to Spurs for the foreseeable future.

Asked if he fears the transfer saga has tarnished his reputation, Kane told talkSPORT: "No, I don't think so. I think anyone involved in the football industry knows the ins and outs.

"I was quite calm with the situation, but when you're in it and you know the truth, then your conscience is clear.

Would have been interesting to see had a Man City made a £200 million offer. Spurs would have most likely sold Kane even if they are saying otherwise. Kane is staying because no one made an offer.

Harry Kane: Tottenham striker 'totally involved' in project, says Antonio Conte

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte says Harry Kane is "totally involved" in his project at the club after it appeared the striker would leave last summer.

Premier League winners Manchester City were keen to sign Kane, 28, last year.

The England captain believed he had a gentleman's agreement with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to move on.

"He wants to give 100% in every game and I am totally satisfied with his commitment and the relationship we have created within the team," said Conte.

The Spurs boss added: "I knew the situation in the summer and, when Harry decided to stay in Tottenham, I found a player totally involved in this project.

"I am happy to have him in my team because we are talking about the top player, a top striker in the world, and if we want to win or if we want to think to build something to win, Harry must be a point of start."

Conte said he followed Kane's transfer situation from afar and added it was a "great choice" by Levy to stand firm and keep the player, who is under contract until 2024.

Under Conte - who replaced the sacked Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach in November - sixth-placed Spurs are unbeaten in eight Premier League games.

Kane had only scored one league goal in the 2021-22 campaign prior to the former Inter Milan manager's arrival, but he has now scored three times in his past four league games.

"In this way you are showing you want to try to continue to build something important around one of the best players in your team," Conte added.

"I followed the situation but now it is not right to look at the past. Now we have to live in the present, which says that Harry is a player at Tottenham and continues to be one of the best players in this team.

"He is a point of reference in the dressing room and an experienced player. I am totally enthusiastic about his involvement in the team and the Tottenham project."

He should leave, he's in his prime years which will soon come to an end - cash in for glory right now or regret latter.

Harry Kane central to Tottenham's future, says Antonio Conte

Watch Chelsea vs Tottenham in Carabao Cup semi-final first leg, live on Sky Sports Football from 7pm on Wednesday; kick-off 7.45pm; Harry Kane is central to Spurs' future success, says Antonio Conte: "If we want to think to build something to win, Harry [Kane] must be a starting point."
Antonio Conte understands Harry Kane's frustration at Tottenham's lack of trophies but says the striker is central to the club's future.

Kane indicated his desire to leave Tottenham for Manchester City in the summer before opting to stay, and Conte said he has been "totally satisfied" with the 28-year-old's commitment to the team, who face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports Football.

The Italian said it was a "great choice" by owner Daniel Levy to keep Kane at the club, who last won a trophy in 2008 when they lifted the League Cup.

"I knew the situation in the summer and, when Harry decided to stay in Tottenham, I found a player totally involved in this project ... if we want to think to build something to win, Harry must be a starting point," Conte said, ahead of his return to Stamford Bridge to face his former club Chelsea on Wednesday."I understand Harry's situation. When you finish your career, you can see your appearances and the teams you made them for but, at the same time, it's right to see what you have won. This is important, especially for the top, top players."I think that when Tottenham brought me here they wanted to send a signal outside, and maybe also to our players ... We have to try to build a situation where we are all involved and to try to create a situation that we can be competitive to try to win."

After a slow start to the season, Kane has recovered some form and has scored three goals in Spurs' last four Premier League games.

Harry Kane moved level with Sir Bobby Charlton on 49 England goals as they came from behind to beat Switzerland in a friendly at Wembley.

Kane scored with his usual expertise and now stands just four goals behind England's record marksman Wayne Rooney.

Kane has been approaching his best for Tottenham in recent weeks and he scored from the spot with power and precision as he took a step closer to the England record books.

He now stands just those four goals behind Rooney's record of 53 and it is only a matter of time before he takes top spot, currently standing on a highly impressive tally of 49 goals from 68 appearances.

Spurs are now 4th.

If they can stay there and get into the Champions League, then yes — Kane should stay.

Sterling performance tonight from Kane.

Two crucial goals in the North London derby.

Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Kahn has described Tottenham and England forward Harry Kane, 28, as "an absolute top striker" and "a dream of the future" after they agreed to sell Robert Lewandowski, 33, to Barcelona. (Star)

Antonio Conte has criticised Bayern Munich for being "disrespectful" after publicly declaring their interest in Harry Kane.

Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann refused to rule out a move for the Tottenham striker after the German club's chief executive Oliver Kahn had revealed earlier this week that it would be a "dream" to sign Kane.

Harry Kane scored his 250th goal for Tottenham as they moved top of the Premier League with a hard-fought win over Wolves.

The England forward reacted sharply to head in Ivan Perisic's flick on from a corner to give Spurs their reward for their second-half dominance.

Kane's effort also saw the hosts become the fifth team to score 1,000 goals at home since the Premier League was formed in 1992.

Great forward that he is I don't envisage him ever moving to another EPL side. If he moves it will probably be to a Bayern Munich or PSG. The money that Spurs will want for him will mean only a very few clubs outside the EPL will be able to afford him. After leaving Spurs he'll only be interested in clubs who genuinely have a chance of winning things.

Harry Kane is happy at Tottenham and I want him to sign new contract, says Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte is convinced in-form Harry Kane is happy at Tottenham and believes the club are on the right path to persuading him to sign a contract extension.

Striker Kane, who has just under two years left on his existing deal, has begun the new Premier League season with a bang, scoring four goals in as many games to help high-flying Spurs take 10 points from a possible 12.

The situation is in stark contrast to 12 months ago when the England captain was unsettled and made a slow start to the 2021/22 campaign after a mooted move to Manchester City failed to materialise.

Head coach Conte, who replaced the sacked Nuno Espirito Santo in early November, feels Tottenham are on an upward curve and working hard to satisfy Kane's expectations.

"You know very well that you create the perfect time (for a contract extension) with a project," the Italian said. "If also the player understands that there is a right process, that everybody is going in the same direction, I think every single player wants to see this.

"I think that Harry for sure is happy because he is seeing this type of situation. There is a vision, there is a direction and there is a unity to try to improve the team and also to improve the team at the level of his expectations."
