England overall performance in recent times

Yes they won the CWC 2019. However, I am not sure if their overall performance in recent times been that great.

1. WI series: got blown away by Thomas, Cottrell, and co.

2. CWC 2019: lost to 5, 6, and 8 ranked teams during group stage. Huffed and Puffed their way to a controversial last ball win in final against NZ.

3. Test against IRE: getting blown away by IRE in first innings and now huffing and puffing again in second innings.

They are not an invincible team but they are undisputed #1 in ODI currently.

They are #3 or #4 in Test currently (way behind India, Australia, and perhaps NZ).

The Test side has gone from bad to worse under Bayliss.

They are not like the Aussie team of the 2000, but they are still one heck of a team.

In ODIs- No. 1 because ranked 1 and also won the WC.

In tests- they are 3rd Or 4th IMO.

England as always have been inconsistent but knows how to win big test series. Overall, India are no.1 while England, New Zealand and Australia make it to the top 4 considering SA are down currently in all formats and so are Pakistan.

i would love to swap the position of pak team with england .There are world champion and on 4th in icc test ranking. i don,t know what is all the fuss about there ''terrible record''
