I think, IND can chase up to 325 here, Dhawan could have stressed that to 350 max. Poms also know that and they have come today to do something (aaj u-o karney aaya ...)
 
I am so happy India are getting the bad day away before the knockout stage. Same thing happened to India in WC15 and CT17. Better to get such bad days in league game. I am getting the feel that India is gonna win this WC.
 
Even Australia were thrashed for a world record 480 by England a few weeks ago. And see at Australia today. Nothing to crib about. This English batting today is just a demonstration that they deserve to be in contention for a semi final berth.

I didnt say India is losing intentionally. I was just insinuating that perhaps the intensity isnt there because they have already qualified.

Secondly, Pakistan is not in a situation like India where Pakistan losing (by dropping catches) will result in India getting kicked out of tournament. So thats why Pakistan's dropped catches wouldnt seem dodgy IF i was using this logic at all (which i am not).
 
am enjoying this thrashing that england is giving to india. Barring Kohli, India does not have the nerve to chase a big score.

Dude make your mind. If India loses this, road to sf will be more complicated for Pakistan.
 
So the highest total in a WC match is 417 by Australia vs Afghans (2015) and all the 400+ totals in WCs are against minnows or windies.

Even without playing a single game in the tournament, Jadeja contributed a lot in the field

This is a WC game bro. I do think this is a good pitch but 350 even with Dhawan would be difficult to chase
 
I have to say i am genuinely surprised at how toothless the Indian bowlers have seemed.
Sure the pitch is a belter but they are arguably the best bowling attack in this worldcup.They could have done better.

As for Pakistan its alright guys.If its in our destiny we will qualify by whatever way and if its not we wont even if India win today,so khair hai.:)

IND will face Poms in SF again almost certainly, unless they win today - if they win today, then almost certainly NZ ..... I am sure IND tank knows what they should do today.

No surprise, Poms are batting absolutely out of this world and the wicket is tailor made for their strength. IND still has the best attack in this WC by some margin, but today is one odd day that Poms are getting their share of luck.
 
If the return of Roy hasn’t made a change to Bairstow, I’m a Dutchman.
 
India wasted a bumrah over there. Root is not someone who would get out to Bumrah on this pitch when he wants to rotate strike
 
England is toying away with the Indian bowling attack. Only Bumrah seems to be able to contain them somewhat.

Kuldeep and Chahal were supposed to be best or second best spin duo. They aren't adjusting to the wickets in England smoothly.

Any other attack and it wouldnt have been a surprise.But if there is one attack that could and should have been able to quell the England batsmen it is India's.Or so i thought.
So definitely a surprise.
 
I can see collapse being triggered if India can dismiss bairstow

No idea, sky is the limit because they have crossed 25th over with one down. Unless, it's 4 down by 35th, should get close to 400, may be over. It's batting with steroid - don't think IND has bowled that poor and has fielded well also - that catch cost ENG at least 15
 
This worldcup is batting first specially in crunch matches whoever will bat first will win 9 out of 10 times
 
Why doesnt Jhadav bowl anymore? Is it something to do with his shoulder?
 
Of all the players I would have liked to see flop on this road it was Bairstow....
 
Fair play from Bairstow. He had a pop at the media this week but he backed with words with runs with the bat.
