Agreed. Curran brothers are surely talented though would like to see both of them especially Sam adding some pace to be effective on non pacer friendly conditions, both have good head on their shoulders as well. Yes Pope is one of the batsman to look out for especially in tests for now. He is rated pretty highly in Eng and I think rightly so.
 
Imad or Asif Ali need to come in next since we know our kaptaan doesn't like batting

That's how you put these crap balls away. Dawson is better than Denly. If you wanted a 3rd spinner he was your man.

I must say, I really haven’t understood the hype for Archer. He’s quick and these days it’s rarer to find quick bowlers but still - he’s not express.

And today watching him bowl live for the first time, I have the same sentiment. He might be a decent all rounder / impact cricketer who does a few magical things in the right moment - but he won’t be a consistently good player. I feel like he will be a slightly better version of Chris Jordan. Good for white ball and T20 leagues.
 
Good batting by Babar, looks like he definitely has improved his power hitting game
 
It baffles me what a nothing player like Denly is doing at this level. Surely England have multiple young players who are better than this TTF.
 
Surprised Denly being used in middle overs, he is only effective with the new ball and that too on occasions.

In my opinion, he has the potential to be a genuine fast bowler at Test level, and pigeon-holing him as a white ball specialist would be a disservice to his abilities.

England should let him loose and not hold him back. They made the same mistake with Buttler and stunted his development by a few years.

Hearing Waqar, you can see why he was such a poor coach. Since the pre-show, all he's been saying is Pakistan are at a disadvantage because of no Hafeez and Malik, so no experience.
 
Some people don’t learn - Babar is very good, but he cannot be the best T20 batsman in a world where Kohli, Warner, Buttler, Rohit, Finch etc. exist.

All these batsmen can do what Babar does and more. ICC individual player rankings are misleading more often than not.

Rohit shouldn't be in that list.
 
this England bowling attack is really garbage apart from jofra and Adil.they should be able to score 200 atleast.

Rizwan is a far better batsman. To this day not one Sarfraz fan has had the stomach to accept this.

As for keeping they're very similar.

This proves Sarfraz is in the side as specialist captain.

He needs to add swing with new ball and reverse swing with older ball to his armoury definitely but I wont judge him from going for a bit of runs. Thing which really impresses me is his control over his lenghths and maintaining the same pace for yorkers, bouncers and length ball. Yes not a finished product but a product that can be a really good prospect if developed well.
 
It would be a great tragedy to our world cup campaign if either one of Hafeez or Malik keep Haris out of the starting XI!
Don't fix your Shadab, Faheem, Imad problem with getting rid of Haris at the top . . top 6 need to be:
Imam
Fakhar
Babar
Haris
Hafeez
Sarfaraz

Then play with what comes after!

What really gives me hope is that Babar is aleast 4,5 years younger than the names you have mentioned and he is only gonna get better with time and confidence.

Rizwan is more athletic I agree. He has terrible hands against spinners. You need to watch more cricket than hating
 
Need to go full throttle here as these two are going, Asif should be in next to show his talent
 
Babar Azam coming off age. He was fantastic on SA tour. He is carrying it on from there. Hope he replicates these types of innings in a run chase.

What about batting? Rizwan has done more in 2 months with the bat than what Sarfraz has in the last two years.
 
Babar is 1 of my favourite players in Pakistan. He hasn't improved too much in acceleration and it's annoying because he has every shot in the book.

He has been scoring against international attacks for a long time now and no 1 t20 batsman for a reason. But you see haters going after him and even saying he is not even in top 10 batsman in the world.

Exactly. I love Babar but those comments were not very intelligent. He should have just said I am trying my best to improve power hitting.

Exactly, he has decent pace and good line / length. Those are decent foundations but do not justify the hype.

I’m not writing him off at all, just saying that nothing I have seen would suggest a world beater.
