What's new

Ever so classy Haris Sohail

Fakhar
Babar
Harris

Solid top 3. Add Saud or Zeeshan at 4 and we are set for the World Cup.

He looks really good hopes he can keep performing very solid player indeed. He is 40 runs away from reaching the 1000 mark in ODI cricket

Fakhar, Sharjeel, Haris, Babar, Saud, Sarfraz, big hitting allrounder, Shadab, Hasan, Amir, Shaheen, good six bowling options and a perfect team after worldcup

I have no idea why he was dropped in the first place, ok he had a couple of failures but that was after making a comeback, they should’ve been more patient with him as we know how good he was from his pre injury performances

Fakhar, Imam, Babar, Harris, Malik, hafeez, sarfi, faheem, shadab this should be permanent, sorry guys we not getting rid of hafeez/malik before WC.. Asif should be out permanently

Absolutely looked amazing today! Must be given a long run. Need him in the middle order. The team needs Fakhar, Babar and Haris in the batting line up.

Although it is not ideal, best place to play him right now is as an opener, as we know Hafeez isn't going anywhere.

What is frustrating is that this guy is nearly always the player who is dropped when they make changes to the team. Seems to be the fall-guy and that means that he is nearly always making a comeback to the team which cannot be great for his confidence and fluency.

Drop Imam, open with Babar and bring in Haris as number 3. Haris was outstanding today and this is the best way for him to be played in this team. Best player of pace bowling by far.

I think his fitness issue has also contributed.

Seriously the team that played today could be our best side, barring obviously the oldies Hafeez and Malik. We can only carry one and I would lean towards Malik if we have to have an oldie.

If Umar akmal is in form and well behaved, having him in place of Malik, along with an in form Amir and Hassan Ali. I think we’d have a decent team

Think Hafeez as number four and Malik as number five could do the job. They are not the best, but atleast they can hang around when we are three down for nothing against the likes of Bangladesh, Afghanistan etc

It’s certain Imam should not be a part of this team anymore. What Imam can do, Babar can do 10x better.

Have you followed hafeez bowling . It is bloody key to the balance of the team. Nobody can tie lefties up like he does

If everything was perfect, I believe PAK’s top 7 for 2015 WC should have been

Kamran+
Hafeez (Butt)
Haris
Umar
Maqsood
Misbah*
Hafeez/Malik

And 2019 should have been

Sharjeel
Babar
FZ/Saud
Haris
Umar+
Maqsood
Shadab
.
Amir*

It isn’t destined that way, unfortunately.

Haris is a player who needs to be given a consistent run in the team. He and Babar are potentially our best middle order right now. Add Saud Shakeel to that and its solid.

Fakhar
Imam/Sharjeel
Babar
Haris
Saud

That would look like a pretty good top 5 post WC. Don;t know how sharjeel will perform so either him or Imam.

Have always backed him. It's a disgrace it's taken this long for him to find a place in the team.

Lol. All these batting line ups which people arw suggesting will only look good when Fakhar fires.

He should be permanent at 4.

1 Fakhar.
2 Imam.
3 Babar.
4 Haris.
5 Malik.
6 Hafeez.
7 Sarfaraz.
8 Shadab.
9 Hassan.
10 Amir.
11 Shaheen.

Ideal team for WC.

Great player but he always gets injured and poor selection doesn’t help him.

Haris looked so good in ODIs recently but now he has pulled out of another tour.

I think it might be time for Pakistan to think of another young middle-order bat in his place.

Correct he only plays easy tours I belive he missed the south africa tour azwell perfect opportunity to bring a young batesman in the squad

We should move on from him. Its time to select Zeeshan Malik, but Misbah will definitely select a TTF

Haris Sohail could have been the perfect middle order batsman. A solid player of pace bowling. Unfortunately he didn't have the desire to push himself to be the best player he could be. He also had those two years out and he hasn't really worked on his fitness since then.

He could be very very good in odis but in tests hes vunrelable

Sadly, a lot of these "class" players in PK cricket are lost due to injuries, ill discipline or corruption.

Dude just scored the easiest 20-ball half-century ever. Good to see him batting today. He looks fit too. On pure skill-set there is no Pakistan batsman on his level. I would say he is an automatic selection in all formats.

Really hope Haris has a big QEA Trophy, still believe he has some miles left on the clock.

He helped turn around our World Cup campaign, but Misbah messed him up selecting him for T20Is where he failed which affected his Test form, especially his discipline outside offstump.

He leads Balochistan fairly well, getting the most from limited resources.

For the sake of the Pakistan team I would rather he didn’t find form so Misbah brings in new faces.

Otherwise Misbah will simply replace Malik with Haris and the lineup will be similar to the Australia one.

IMO we should be looking at moving past him. He’s injured every second series, has knees made of glass, is on the wrong side of 30 and is fat and lazy.

I have said it before but I really don't think there is any doubt that Harris is the second best batsman in the country after Barbar. Period. I was seriously gutted that he didn't come on the England tour because the reality is, nobody even takes notice of your performances unless they are against one of the Big 3. I honestly think he could have been the difference between us winning and losing the first test match.

I get that his performance in tests against Aus weren't great but I'm not one of these people who writes off a cricketer based on the odd match here or there. I know from literally years and years of watching cricket when someone is special and Harris is definitely that. He did transform our WC campaign and was the difference between us coming home holding our heads high and coming home in embarrassment.

Inshallah Haris will remain injury free and available for the next few years and will show the world how utterly brilliant he is as a batsman.

I'm sorry but this is rubbish. To compare Haris with distinctly average players like Malik is a joke. Harris is 5 times the batsman Malik could ever hope to be.

Hes been average is tests and t20s in international in odis hes been decent defo not automatic selection in t20s
