Ali Zaryab is a talented player with a clear vision and a grounded approach, eager to prove himself on the big stage.

I hope he comes good and performance in domestics to have a go in the national side.

he seems like a decent batsmen and probably will be playing for Pakistan in the near future, looking forward to see him.

Disclaimer: this is based on his recent performances, if in future or in international cricket he is an awful please don't take knives out on me, and my support and backing for him is only if he performs well for Pakistan, if he doesn't perform well for Pakistan I will not support him.

Lahore Whites' Ali Zaryab remained unbeaten on 91 off 173 on Day 2 of the third match in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024 Triangular Stage, setting the stage for their side to surpass the trail and establish a competitive lead.

202* (357) - 2nd First Class double-century for opener Ali Zaryab

A stellar knock for Lahore Whites against Sialkot in the Triangular Stage of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024

With a FC avg of 38 and list A and T20 avg in mid 20s ?no thank you.
Talking purely for the long format. He seems to have decent FC stats and good domestic experience

With shan ultimately leaving, we will need 1 opener

He looks very similar to Saud Shakeel aesthetically. Plays the ball very late, which is a trait I admire in a batsman. Remains to be seen how good he is.

Scored a solid century during the Shaheens' tour of England, an unbeaten 100 off 141 balls in the second innings of the three-day match against SACA & MCC Young Cricketers XI.

Looks like a pretty solid player.

What an injustice, but it is typical of PCB

Abhishek Sharma and Ali Zaryab both played in the 2018 U19 World Cup. Ali Zaryab averaged 54, while Abhishek averaged 26.

Since then, Abhishek has featured in 150 T20 matches, whereas Ali Zaryab has played only one.

This highlights the difference in how India and Pakistan nurture their cricketing talent.

Maybe Ali Zaryab is more suited to the longer forms of the game, while Abhishek had the talent to transform himself into a good T20 cricketer?

Average tells us nothing. This highlights lack of understanding of the modern day LOI game more than PCB's mismanagement.

Yes, Ali Zaryab is best suited for Tests but poor soul still searching for chances. PCB is yet to cater such talents.

PCB is not interested in Test cricket, it's just staring us in the face now. They are removing tests to play more limited overs cricket, has been happening since Ehsan Mani's time so it's not even something you can only blame the current chairman for.

He has played no significant white ball cricket even at domestic level, his FC stats are average and his Shaheen's ton came against an MCC + South Asian academy side.

Very difficult to judge his ability based on that.
