Fact check - Was Jeff Thomson's speed measured at batter's end?

He looks quick to me here. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EOyW9TY1t6g

In the seventies he bowled medium pace, but quickened up by the Packer era. Footage of him in 1987 in England suggests he was no longer quick, but he could have deliberately slowed down a bit to exploit the conditions.

Looks sharpish than fast. Notice how easily Lillee is responding while batting. Imran was certainly capable of quick, but I think it was more around early 140's.

Old DK wasn’t the worst with the bat, he averaged nearly 14. But Sarfraz (FM) nearly takes his head off in the same film.

What a thread from the past .... not one single troll post. What happened to the quality/standards of discussion here and the posters ... looks like most of them have checked out of here due to the troll infestation ??!!

Breakdown of bowlers speed from 1979 video.

From the above post i noticed that bowlers were getting faster with each bowl. So if we add 5% boost to their fast ball , we might arrive at more realistic speed.

Ok fair enough, but why didn’t DK tour? The man was well known for his never-say-die attitude and sheer determination so I expect he was out injured.
Lillee only good in Australia and England.
