Fake degree row returns to haunt Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank

The new Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, is back in the news for his doctorate degrees (honorary), which he obtained from far away Sri Lanka. The base of the whole issue hovers around the legality of the Colombo based Open International University.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank was felicitated with a doctorate degree of Open International University twice- once in the late 90s and the second time in late 2000s. The exact date of the first honorary degree remains unknown, but the second one was near the time when he assumed the CM office in the hill state in 2009.

Nishank used to fondly mention about the honorary degrees of the Open International University for Complementary Medicines in his books, website and also bio-data. On the bases of the document, he used the suffix ‘Dr.’ in front of his name. Even in his election affidavits, Nishank mentions receiving honorary degrees.

Is it one of the eligibility conditions in this govt to hold a fake degree to be a HRD minister? Rest being totally incompetent and speak gibberish whenever they open their mouth....

HRD ministry, which is supposed to oversee the educational systems in the country, has been headed by such fake degree holders, in both Modi1.0 and Modi2.0.

In 2012, Mr Savadi and two others were caught watching a pornographic video clip in the assembly, to the BJP's embarrassment. He later sought to clarify that they were watching it for "educational purposes, to know more about the rave parties," as the assembly was about to discuss a rave party scandal in Mangaluru.

All three, Mr Savadi, CC Patil and Krishna Palemar resigned as Karnataka ministers at the time. Mr Patil is also back in the government.

Not only that this pest had also lost last year's assembly elections. But that didn't stop mota bhai to make him a deputy CM.
