Family caught carrying 'bag of mosquitoes' into Peshawar hospital

A family in Peshawar was temporarily apprehended by staff at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar on September 18 for possessing a bag containing mosquitoes suspected to be carriers of a lethal disease, the director of the hospital, Dr Shahzad Akbar, told DawnNews on Wednesday.

A man, his wife, son and daughter, all residents of Peshawar's Pishtakhara area, told the security guard at the hospital that they had been promised payment for letting the virus-spreading mosquitoes loose in the hospital, according to Dr Akbar.

However, after questioning the family, the guard released them with a warning.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government recently declared a health emergency in the province due to an epidemic of mosquito-borne diseases, most notably dengue.

I remember reading a story just as bad few years back where someone injected HIV containing blood into a carton of oranges that was to be shipped. I'm not sure if that was a hoax or not, but that was satanic.

Absolutely, no one would roam around with mosquitoes without any motive or instructions. KPK didn't have any serious dengue problem in recent years but this year was worst and there was this organised campaign from PMLN to use this issue for politics sending so called experts to KPK to help.

This has got to be be one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. What sadistic, low-life psychos would do this? And the mere fact that they chose to carry out this fiendish task in a hospital where it would spread like forest fire is daunting to say the least.

For all we know, these mosquitoes could spread Ebola, which kills millions of people every year.

What do you guys think the aim was behind this? Is this the case of a sadistic psycho family who just want to watch the world burn, or is there a greater power, a greater evil behind them that is against the state and wants exacerbation of the civil war?

Clearly, if they were being paid then this means there is more to this and there is perhaps a broader scheme going on that is yet to be uncovered.
