At times it seems like Spain are just happy to have the ball. They have chances to play direct balls and play in behind the defence but they opt to keep it. Its easy to defend against as long as you remain concentrated. Most teams who play a possession game still look to play in behind.

If they are going to play this way they have selected the wrong team . Thiago and Aspas should start.

Russian roulette killed Spain's dream for this World Cup. They weren't playing well in this tournament anyway.

Diego Costa must be furious with the lack of chances created in the box for him. Leaving Iniesta out of the first half turned out to be a disaster, Pique can go home and play volleyball. De gea didn't turn up again. Tiki-taka doesn't work anymore

2 poor matches today with teams looking a bit jaded and tired.

Croatia struggled and at times Denmark looked the better team.

I just think it's better for the tournament that Croatia are through.

I would add Belguim to those 3, all have some seriously exceptional talented players..ie ATG's in their teams.

England will try hard as they always do but dont have a Pogba, Courtinho, Hazard or Modric. Someone who is a playmaker and can unlock defences. It's hard to break down teams if they are organised and have a decent keeper. Columbia have a decent defence with players who are good in the air too. England will need some luck and to play the game of their lives to beat Columbia.

Keeper Schmeichel deservedly declared the Man of the Match despite ending up on the losing side. Both the keepers were awesome, and it seemed as if the match was played only between the two, but Schmeichel`s penalty save in Extra Time was a heroic effort. I just got the feeling that it's Denmark's day, but it's such a game that momentum often ends up meaning nothing.

Again, well done Schmeichel and also Croatia`s keeper.
