I feel, there must be something unique in Pep's system, which is more of a Barca trademark and since he left, most other next Barca managers have adopted into that - Gerardo Martino left after a season, while his long-term deputy, Vilanova would have been still in charge, but for the disease.
There are too many players who look gem in Guardiola's team, but they are totally different player under other manager (s)/System. Messi, KDB, Pedro, Thiago, Bernardo Silva... had been outstanding in his system; but they didn't keep that promise in other clubs or National team. Alexis had couple of stunning season under him at Barca, in his early 20s, but never reached that level at Arsenal and at 29, he is likely to be benched by Mou at the start of next season
Latest in this list seems to be this kid Jesus - he had been nonexistent in this WC, after a stunning season with MCity. And, Low didn't pick Sane for Germany either, but he was the best forward for MCity's record breaking season.
Alexis played 1 season under Pep and he wasn't stunning in that season. His best season was his last 1 when Tato Martina was incharge.
May be, but still he was a different player at Barca.
Much better player at Arsenal than he was at Barcelona. Should have stayed. Doesn't seem to suit Manchster United.
This is a very interesting game. Both teams have a had half chances but Japan are holding their own against talented players. The Japanese are very fit, can run all day long.
Lakaku is working hard but cant get the better of the Japanese defenders.
Goals are due in the second half if they keep up this type of play.
Belgium failing to hack the pressure again. All I hear is Messi,Pogba, and Ozil never do anything when it matters what have KDB and Hazard done in the champions league and big international tournaments?
Hazard has been pretty good in this tournament. KDB is playing mediocre.
Against 2 rubbish teams. When it matters he's flopped.

Goal
No mention of Lukaku? He just missed a wide open goal. Hazard has been solid today. Has two shots on target. Meanwhile Lukaku has one shot which has been blocked.
And Belgium get a lucky goal.
Nice assist right there.
Biased Arsenal fan.
Hazard is 1 of my favourite players. I'm talking more in fusration then in hate of Chelsea.
Acha sorry
I feel like the Belgian players are kinda lazy. Only play really well when under a lot of pressure. Otherwise they just chill.
The opposite imo. When they can play with freedom their unstopabble but when under pressure they have failed. This could give them the confidence.
Brazil vs Belgium has the potential to be a classic.
Whole Asia was rooting for them.Heartbreak for Japan.... What a game. I was siding with the underdogs throughout. They seemed to take it easy after going up 2-0
What you mean they were under immense pressure today. The 2-0 deficit woke them up.
I didn't even know that Japan is such a good team. Their passing was brilliant. If only they were a bit taller. Belgium totally exploited that deficiency with their set pieces.
But the positive thing from today's game is that the QF will be a cracker of a match.
