Jofra Archer is a big signing for Quetta. Too bad it'll be a one man pace attack as his competition is Rahat Ali, Anwar Ali and Mir Hamza...

Hope IU wins. Misbah will end on a high and they have the best domestic players. LQ is decent but the other squads are absolutely trash.

LQ only have 2 local batsmen: Umar Akmal and Fakhar Zaman

The only positive with Multan is that Saif Badar should get most games and we can finally see what the hype was about. Otherwise it’s another terrible squad.

Ms the most terrible and aged squad

This will be LQ's PSL:bm I can feel it.

Also they have some of the best upcoming Pkaistani pacers in Shaheen Afridi, Salman Irshad and Ghulam Mudassar

Where are Mohammad Asif and Sadaf Hussain? I don't accept "they're not t20" bowlers, if you're supposedly the best in the country you really ought to be able to stand out in a domestic t20 tournament!

lahore looks the strongest followed by islamabad.

Quetta looks so weak, even weaker than before but they’ll probably pull through to the finals like before. Multan looks alright was expecting it to look weaker because its a new team but it doesnt.

Think islamabad will win it.

Is there any way we can add Muhammad Musa and Arshad Iqbal to the squads? Would be an immense learning curve. Love how India is adding there promising youngsters to the IPL.

Pakistan doesnt have enough teams in PSL yet. Thats a big issue.

A lot of the up and coming talent doesn't get picked up by the franchises who go for safer investments (which aren't necessarily better) or experienced cricketers. I think a good addition to the PSL will be a team composed solely of under 25 or under 26 local players and international signings. We can call it the Shaheens or something. A team not based on any region. It can be a good platform to train new captains and support up and coming youngsters who couldn't make it to the other teams. The international signings will be good guides and can impart their experience.

Looking at the squads, Islamabad United seems to have very good talent scouts. They have really been very good with domestic players selection.

The replacement draft has has been used quiet well by the Quetta Gladiators management Jofra Archer, John Hastings and even Albie Morkel are very good picks.

These two teams look the strongest and might be the finalists of PSL3.

The poorest team has to be Peshawar Zalmi.

Clear squad imbalance, only 6 batsmen yet over 15 bowling options
Still need a batsman who can hold their innings together
Cos currently it looks like either they will score 200+
Or get bowled out for under 70/80

Such a team has to be owned by PCB itself.

Before the draft I ranked the squads as follows:

IU
KK
LQ
PZ
QG
MS

After the replacement draft that has changed drastically:

ISLU
PZ
LQ
QG
MS
KK

Either way really excited for the PSL!

Very few foreign players and not really the best of the lot, some of them have even retired. Disappointed.

Really? Most of them are the typical t20 mercenaries who play across all leagues, what is wrong with them?

And what do you mean about retirements?

Anyway, great squads and really happy to see so many Pakistani players across all squads ,especially considering we produce the world's best t20 players, especially bowlers.

I'm not going to say who I think is best but I really wana see Zaman and Mac open the batting together. That would be something.

Lahore, Karachi and Isloo have much stronger squads than Quetta, Peshawar and Multan. On paper Qalandars have the most balanced side. Fast bowling looks good and have a proper T20 batting unit as well.

The local players selected by Gladiators are mediocre at best. Pace attack looks weak but as it's the UAE, the likes of Nawaz and Hassan Khan will come good.

Seems like Multan is going to rely a lot on local players. Especially their bowling.

How does Qalandars look the most balanced?
6 batsmen and over 15 bowlingoptions
That’s not balanced
Lack a stable middle order, no one to hold the innings together

Karachi also a lot weaker after the replacement draft

You really trust the PCB to manage it competently and honestly?

Obviously not but private franchises wont invest in such a team. Its risky and hence the governing body should take up the mantle itself.

LQ has only 2 local batsmen (Fakhar and U Akmal) out of 21 players and have 11 bowlers. They will be playing with 7 bowlers in every match given Mustafiz will be playing. 3 bowling allrounders will be stabling their middle order, followed by a long tail of 4 bowlers. LQ batting is totally depending on the first 4 batsmen. Certainly the worst middle order line up in all teams.

I want IU to annihilate every opponent so that others can realize that picking trash results in trash outcomes.

Can Nepalese cricketers participate in the PSL?

Nepal has a good U19 team and some good players in natinal side also.
PCB has been trying different strategies to promote PSL, why not bring in Nepal fanbase by allowing theirplayers in the PSL?
This shows PCB is not managed well and does'nt have great ideas.
Peshawar Zalmi inducted 2 chinese cricketers as symbolic gesture which also would help promote both in garnering interest for cricket.

Can't forget the support and love Pakistan team got by Nepalese post CT win. In 80s, Pakistan is known for helping and sending Pakistani stars to play in local leagues of countries like Bangladesh or Sri Lanka to promote the game there. Nepalese players taking part will give them international experience and Pakistan League will get Nepali fan interest in their league.

Hope some franchisee owner looks into it.

So is that the finalized list or not, seeing that players are retracting everyday either for personal reasons, country commitments etc.

This is Final list, all the players not available are replaced and there are partial availability replacements for players who will leave after playing some games...

Shame on Quetta team for picking up useless players again. Newcomers Multan have a better team than them.

Islamabad killed it again, fantastic squad selection.

Boy are you serious??? Do u even know which players Quetta have picked, they have picked best players in the replacement Draft

Their first choice foreign players will be KP, Watto Rossouw and Archer/Mahmudullah. Rashid probably won't even play a game due to international matches. Roy might play a few matches, he's good.

KP and Watto are finished, Rossouw is inconsistent and unreliable. Archer is young and talented but still he's over-hyped and inconsistent as well.

Their domestic picks are awful.

Weakest team on paper again, but they'll probably play the final.

Am supporting KK, but for me, IU look the best team all-around. QG definitely look the worst due to their horrific bowling lineup and lack of hitters. Seems a bit of bias and nepotism on selections, but overall everything seems good and should be an exciting tournament.
