Babar Azam
(39 runs @ average of 7.8, strike rate of 61.90)
Probably the worst ever tournament for any top player.

Rohit Sharma
(89 runs, strike rate of 110, 1 Fifty)
Indian captain prolonged his rough patch of bad form. His only half century was against Netherlands.

Mohammad Rizwan
(103 runs @ 20.6, strike rate 100, zero fifties)
Series to forget for Rizwan as he didn't score a single fifty.

Harry Brook
(36 runs @ 9, strike rate of 102)
Much was expected from this young lad, but he was able to face more than 6 balls only once.

Shakib Al Hasan
( 44 runs @ 8.8, strike rate of 96, 6 wickets @ 27.83, economy of 8.78)
Captain of Bangladesh and legendary allrounder flopped at both batting and bowling.

Jimmy Neesham
( 37 runs, not bowled in the series)
Neesham was mainly used as lower middle order batsman but his only notable contribution was against Australia. He didn't bowl in the tournament.

Mathew Wade
(15 runs @ 7.5, strike rate of 100)
Australia's newly found finisher wasn't able to live his hype and didn't went past single digit scores.

Ravi Ashwin
(6 wickets @ 21.33, economy of 7.5)
His numbers may look impressive but his best contributions came against only minor teams. He wasn't economical either.

Mitchell Starc
(3 wickets @ 34, economy of 8.5)
Starc was rightly dropped from the team after few not so impressive performances.

Kagiso Rabada
(2 wickets @ 75.5, economy of 9.5)
Ugly stats for Rabada who leaked too many runs and took only two wickets.

Josh Hazlewood
(5 wickets @ 24.8, economy of 8.3)
Former world no.1 bowler was average with the ball.

THOUGHTS??

Wade or Jimmy hasnt had enough opportunities to be called flop. Ashwin was never the best LOI spinner and his stats are not woeful.

I think Pooran deserves a shout. Then we have Najibullah

David Warner should be there instead of Babar/Rizwan.

Kane Williamson should also be there.

Kane should be in here, outside two innings he was striking under 100 throughout.

One against Ireland and the other against Pakistan (just over run a ball).

David Warner should be there instead of Babar/Rizwan.

Kane Williamson should also be there.
Babar, Kane and Warner should be there.

Rizwan misses the cut because he's been better than those 3.

Neesham didn't get much of a chance to bat. Can't really have in there tbh.

How is Quinton de Kock not in the team? He took Pakistan out of the airport and straight into the final.

A lot of top players have had a bad tournament tbh.

David Warner
Quinton de kock
Rohit Sharma
Babar Azam

All four were absymal. Rest atleast have some performances to show.

Rohit Sharma as skipper at the moment.

Axar Patel, DK, Rishab Pant, KL Rahul would make the team also.

I think you need to look at Naseem Shah's economy rate in this tournament.

I think you need to look at Naseem Shah's economy rate in this tournament.

Thanks for informing. It is a close one because Bhuvi also had an economy pretty good in this tournament and Shami was certainly better than Bhuvi in this tournament.

I will include Lockie Ferguson in place of Shami as his best performance came only vs Ireland and was average against rest.

Naseem got good economy but his average was 44 which was worse than Bhuvi(28).

An economy rate of 6 after bowling 22 overs is incredible!

Yep, that final over he bowled in the semi final was just incredible. Went for 8 runs, but NZ were only able to score off 3 deliveries, despite having a set Mitchell and Jimmy Neesham at the crease.

Wasn't a one off either, despite a lack of wickets, he's created so much pressure whether he's bowled in the powerplay or at the death

Rabada is the most shocking thing. He looked pedestrian. Looked like a pie chucker. He needs a break from cricket.

Bhuvi had an economy of 6.1 with an average of 28 and we have been bashing Bhuvi left right and center because he didn't picked enough wickets for us.

Naseem has an economy of 6 but an average of 44.

Just put India's starting eleven against Eng

:salute

They don't come any bigger flops then KL Rahul. It beats me how this guy is an international cricketer. Clearly he's in the team because of family connections.

So you watched the world cup and you came up with this?
Naseem Shah was very good in all three big matches we had :
vs India : 4 overs 23 for 1
vs South Africa : 3 overs 19 for 1
vs NZ : 4 overs 30 for 0 (with 2 brilliant overs at the death).

He was trusted to bowl the last over vs NZ even tough Wasim jnr still could bowl those beautiful Yorkers because Naseem Shah has been very very good in the world cup.

Is it that frustrating for you to see Pakistani do so well?

Who will add Zimbabwe? A team that you lost against? :))

I don't watch performances against the minnows. Against minnows even Indian players perform. Rahul has 2 fifties and Rohit has 1. Had Pant been good enough to play matches, even him could have made a fifty against them.

This is why your team is back home and E are in the final. You fucuses too much performances against the lesser team.

Naseem Shah has been one of the best fast bowler in the tournament.
