I've only started watching it and think it's fantastic.

This is what it's about:

Gomorrah is a 2014 Italian television crime drama series. It is based on the book Gomorrah by Roberto Saviano and the film Gomorrah directed by Matteo Garrone.

Gomorrah is set in the suburbs of Naples, focusing on organized crime and the relationships of gangsters, drug dealers, and ordinary people. Gomorrah depicts street-level crime and its hierarchical organization from the pavement up to the office chair, and giving an audience a story about external and internal power struggles between criminals and delinquents.

Starting from 6 May 2014, Gomorrah ran on Sky Italia with approximately 1.2 million viewers per episode. Beta Film sold the rights to screen the series in more than 130 countries. Season 1 premiered in the US on SundanceTV on 24 August 2016. Season 2 premiered on 26 April 2017.

During a press conference held on 9 May 2016, the producer confirmed that seasons 3 and 4 would be produced; season 3 debuted in November 2017

Watched it. It is the best show in crime genre. And that is coming from a guy who has watched the sopranos and the wire.

Just like the wire explored the hierarchy in the police & politics in excruciating detail, gomorrah does so with gangsters. In gomorrah, the focus is on every person top to bottom in criminal enterprise. That and the power struggle between top dogs was what made this show awesome

I'm still in the early stages of the series so the characters are developing but it looks like a fantastic series.

Season 2 is even better than season 1. One heck of a plotline & more characters as well.

Just finished season 4.

Not as good as the previous seasons but I would still recommend this.
