Not a bad 38 year old then. Malik is probably among the fittest players in the team.

I don't really care what age Malik is as long as he keeps performing

pretty sure theres an old video of malik saying his listed age is not real. It's one of those old ek din with geo kay saath videos iirc.

Swann always jokes about this, he played against him at the under-19 world cup in 1998 and is amazed at how young he still looks and the fact that he's still playing international cricket. Like Afridi and countless others he's a couple of years older than his listed age.

malik has been the golden boy of PCB to be honest

got captaincy straight after inzemam instead of younis khan and went on to lead the team in the world cup has been involved in groupings etc

malik should have been dropped long time ago but seven years of misbah captaincy revived his career and now being selected because pakistan has no other option

this guy is one of the luckiest players to play despite they didnt deserve along with afridi

neither can be trusted with bat nor ball.

i hope he soon retires and leaves pak team alone

Once malik made his age official he couldn't have gone back and changed it lol

It's entirely possible that malik was 16-17 and Swann 19 at time of that under 19 WC

True, but the point most people including Afridi himself in a tv show (Aik Deo Geo Kay Saath) said:

"Cricket ke Saray Larkey do teen saal umer kum kiya wah" (Most of the boys have listed their ages a couple of years younger)

I have mentioned it in a post that Shoaib Malik left the school in 9th, One month before I joined the school for my 9th class. Govt Pilot School Sialkot. That was in 1996.

I am 36. Malik has to be +/- 1.

Let me guess like a lot of Pakistani esp those who come to England his birthday is the 1st of Jan?

Malik played his first ODI 17 years 7 month earlier, when hes was just a boy.
