The guy has been our batting coach since 2014, our batting is there for everyone to see.

The team has played one practice game, 5 ODI's and now are playing the 1st T-20. This does not include the countless net session the batsmen have had.

The excuse of playing in alien conditions and not aclimitizing is riddiculous.

What has Grant Flower really achieved as the Pakistan batting coach? He has coached over so many batting disasters now and no improvement at all with the team's batting. The team needs someone else now.

Since 2014 and before batting has been our problem area. Why havent PCB tried to resolve this or show they are trying by changing flower who isn’t doing anything positive

He probably does but a top 3 of fakhar , amin and nawaz ?? Well anyone will struggle with that .

Younis Khan needs to be fast tracked as a batting coach. He may have had his fair share of tantrums but he is a no nonsense guy interms of dealing with the batters. It wont be another case of oathgate 2009, as he will be a coach now, so players won't be able to overpower him. Apart from Hafeez and Malik, there aren't many seniors around, the likes of Shafiq, Sarfraz and Azhar started playing after Younis had already started been hailing as a legend.

Seriously. How many times have we scored 300 in an ODI in the last 3 years? Once against Zim, Ire, Eng, NZ, UAE, Aus and India. 7 times in almost 50 ODIs?!?! That's trash.

No amount of coaching can teach malik Hafeez Azha Sarfaraz to bat.. u cnt teach an old....

Please no god please no. They need someone with actual coaching credentials not a guy who was without doubt the worst odi batsman ever to play more than 30 games as a batsman

Its the mind of our batsman. What can a coach do if juicy flighted deliveries are not being swung away.

Question his abilities, but not in NZ.

Yeah blame teacher when students don't have abilities. Same Grant will make decent batsmen world beater!!!!!

The batting order is a rotating mess and filled with incompetent "seniors" making it impossible to coach.

Malik/Hafeez have gone through 5-10 batting coaches and still look like they did as debutants.

Changing Grant Flower will be nothing more than a cosmetic change. It won't get better until you remove Malik/Hafeez (from all formats) and run with a consistent lineup for 10-15 matches.

Embarrass to see most our batsmen will not even make it Ranji trophy team squad.

No. He is not. You might want to pull up Malik’s first few games as well
He was a bowler wasnt he ??
Check his t20 record .
Nawaz is a glorified tailender while amin just isnt good enough for this level . I am no malik fan but be honest to yourself.

What about his t20 record against Australia, NZ, South Africa, England inspires?

Grant is a coach with coaching credentials, what has he done? Even in that case, Younis was still a better ODI batter than Grant Flower. Younis knows the game better than most especially the batting side.

How can you teach Azhar Ali to be a dynamic ODI batsman when he's never been one ? How can you change Shoaib Malik after 18 years of international cricket or Mohammad Hafeez after 15 years of cricket ?

How can you teach a pseudo all-rounder like Mohammad Nawaz to suddenly become a hard hitting No.3 batsman ?

Fact is when Grant Flower has been given young batsmen to mould - he has delivered be it Sharjeel Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam (his recent slump notwithstanding), Haris Sohail and Shadab Khan.

Give the guy proper young talents with promise like Sahibzada Farhan and Hussain Talat then we can judge.

People are expecting miracles

Our players don't have any skills and he doesn't have the magic wand to change that.

Coach can't go inside and play by himself. Even God as a coach won't change the approach of these mediocre batsmen.

+1

This is correct.

Two things need to be changed :

1) Coaches at domestic level

2) pitches at domestic level.

When all else fails..blame the coach!

Pakistan batting has been a problem for as long as I can remember. No amount of coaching can fix this problem.

Then why have Grant Flower then? The fact is that he has been in charge for almost 4 years now. It is time for someone else.

I remember Sharjeel improved visibly under Grant.

I don't know how much of Babar's success can be attributed to Grant but if he can be blamed for failures then why not.

The other batsmen he has worked with are Azhar, Hafeez, Malik and Sarfraz. No coach can help the first 3 and Sarfraz was quite good in the top 5 before he became captain and started playing at a position that doesn't really suite him.
