To understand the issues people in India of Hindu community have and what they think are the solutions for it expressed by someone in a coherent manner without bigotry. My suggestion was not an invitation for a battle. I don't see this is an battleground. I see it as an opportunity to gain perspective on issues, which I otherwise would never have the opportunity to think about.

People in the politics are liar. People in real life are liars and hide their true sentiments. Hence, an anonymous identity can sometime help to express the deepest concerns and thoughts which we otherwise feel too ashamed or afraid to express in public.

I have been to USA twice and I found Indian medical Students and Doctors very humble . Hard working and passionate which give you very good Impression about Indian people in general.

Sanghis are gaining control not just over institutions but the digital space. For example Quora is overrun by BJP/RSS guys but wasn't the case a few years back. Reddit India is much better, moderators there don't tolerate hateful nonsense, so the quality is discernible. Don't know about forums but all depends on who the admins and mods are. Coming to digital news sites again depends, they have polluted comments space in some sites like TOI or Al Jazeera as Cap said, in a few other sites mods clamp down hard on their kind, examples of the latter I think I posted once before when KingKhanWC asked. Better in case of vernacular media at least in my state, from what I heard bigotry is maximum in Hindi media.

Well, India had a golden opportunity to lead by example and be a force of justice, enlightenment and human values in the region but alas. They claim to be "baap baap" but seems to be looking at the "beta" for their guidance in life and role model.

While India is experiencing a reverse trend towards Hindu extremism, Pakistan is moving away from religious extremism. More and more people are questioning the extremists views, which were taken for granted in the past. Pakistan experienced a surge in state-backed religious extremism in 80s to justify and promote the Jihad against Soviet Union. The law against blasphemy for instance was passed in that era. Now more Pakistani than in the history are questioning its legitimacy. The more the population becomes educated the more they are moving away from such elements.

News about discrimination against minorities aren't defended and promoted by the educated masses rather condemned and seen as an issue to be improved upon. Pakistan still has a long way to go and many things could go wrong, however the current trend is to question traditional religious authority figures and the status quo is being challenged more than ever in its history.

I ve to disagree Uncle. Though there are some valid points in that lecture but the sheer number of hateful indian trolls is not just down to the bigger Indian population.

If not, tell me a single public discussion forum where Indians trolls are not present and not openly abusing Muslims & Islam.
