Hajj from the UK

Has anyone been on Hajj? Would you be kind enough to give me an idea of the prices involved etc. It's something I've been thinking about for a couple of years but have never had the finances to do it (and still don't but thinking of the future).

I had a quick look today just to get an idea of the prices and was seeing prices like 6000 (pounds) per person which sounds RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Is it really that expensive?

It'll cost 4000 plus. I went in 2007 and it cost me 2300 for 6 weeks but its really expensive now unfortunately
