Hello scousers

I'm going to be in Liverpool for the next week (living Bootle, working in Docks area) could anybody suggest some good halal eateries ?

Halal eateries in Liverpool? We used to laugh at terms like Londonistan, now the stark reality is confronting us. Next they'll be telling us there is a Chinatown in Liverpool. Get me a ferry across the Mersey... :sadbye

There's a Kurdish chicken joint near Lime Street and a Syrian restaurant towards Walton in centre

To name a few: Elif (Turkish, there is one in city center), Kebabish Original (one in city center and its really nice), Torros (halal steak place), Quick Chef, Kasba (arabic food), fattush (lebanese) and bakssish (arabic). A place called Eat for less do cheap chicken sandwitches, paninis (chicken is halal). If you need more help; let me know. Thanks.

There are loads of halal fast food types for the students, but not the cleanest.

I personally like Shiraz. there are three of them in the City (Shiraz, Shiraz Cafe, Shiraz Palace). The one opposite the Adelphi Hotel is my favourite - quality and excellent VFM.

Food poisoning and shiraz go hand in hand imo.

Ive eaten at the one apposite the Adelphi many times without an issue.

Excellent will give them a go. Decent reviews of Google as well. Looks like easy walking distance from the Docks

I was in Liverpool in first week of September. Sorry to say a very boring and uninspiring city.

try Rumi's in town, short walk in down the road to archies for a nice desert or milkshake to wash it down.

also just go to lodge lane and take your pick. kebabish is on that road along with many other asian or arab food places.

I've never actually been to Liverpool, but a lot of northern cities in England are similar, fairly industrial and not that beautiful. Including Manchester. That said, you can find really posh areas in all of them, and it's weird how some people fall in love with the area once they have become attached to the culture. Spanish manager Rafa Benitez has made his home in Liverpool despite working in some of the most desirable cities in the world such as Milan and Madrid.
