Thank goodness we have found where Afridi should bat in T20s.

Crying as usual
Afridi has been bowling well and while he hadn't scored much it was because his team had him batting too low, to say he had a chip on his shoulder is an understatementasked his captain to give him the promotion and he paid back in double
Ah man was a brilliant knock last night to see Boom Boom roll back the years.
Sorry you missed it coz of trafficbut I'm sure you've seen highlights everywhere since then?
Really excited for finals day now inshAllah
Hope rain doesn't play spoil sport![]()
I never got why HitWicket hates the fellaI'd put him on a pedestal if he had played for the Bears TalhaSyed
, I can't see him in any shirt other then the blue and yellow; he loves playing for Hampshire and is generally very popular amongst the fans and management which is why they keep bringing him back.
Anyway hopefully Colin de Grandhomme bounces him out on finals dayAman
You still seem to be misunderstanding me, I far from hate the fella. I hope he does as well as he can when he plays for Hampshire and will happily congratulate him on any achievements he makes whilst doing so. I (and many other Hampshire members) just feel as if his signing this season wasn't best for the club when we've got multiple young spinners coming through. In the past I was happy to have him when he formed a spin trio with Tahir and Briggs and no one else was pushing in the spin department. Slightly less irritated now Brad Taylor has gone and got ruled out for the rest of the season with injury though. This season I'd still have loved to have seen him in county cricket, just utilised at another club.
But anyway, let's hope for a Hampshire v Warwickshire/Birmingham final.
He's been taking wickets this season and Crane has benefited from bowling alongside him while Dawson place has not been comprimised either. He has always been excellent in T20 and his international record proves it to think he has the most wickets having him around as a senior is great for the younger spinners, and now has played a great knock to get into finals day as well. I never had any doubt he was a good signing for Hampshire.
It could be in the Semi's not sure how the bracket is set up, you guys are lucky you could eat the rubbish Derby for breakfastwe have to get through Surey which may have KP and KS

More worried about the effect it will have on Brad Taylor than Crane or Dawson to be honest. Very talented young off spinning bowling all-rounder who's unfortunately just picked up a season ending injury. Can't see him sticking around much longer though if we don't give him the opportunities.
Believe it's a random draw on Friday for the semis.
David Lloyd's commentary was a delightful accompaniment to the knock, rolled back the years
Afridi has generally been playing second fiddle to all these guys and management have treated him as such, pretty sure Brad had been batting higher then Shahid as well. Haven't paid much attention to the offiet tbh but Crane has potential and Dawson is quality limited overs spinner but not someone who I'd pick for Test cricket
Brad's unfortunately not played a single T20 game this season, hence him being the one I'm concerned about
You thought he'd undermine the other two as well, anyhow would you sacrifice the chance to sneak into the finals at the expense of playing Brad? some T20 games won't derail his overall development in the long run
Dawson was always a guaranteed starter, Crane at the start of the season was a bit less certain of a place but getting picked for England for the t20s pretty much meant we had to start him and being one of the top bowlers in the tournament has obviously made him undroppable. Before the Afridi signing Taylor was probably looking at t20s as the place he could make his mark this season as realistically it's the only format you can play 3 spinners in English conditions more often than not.
Whether we'd have got to finals day with or without Afridi is another question. We've done it for 7 of the last 8 years now and only had Afridi for a few of those occasions.
