Misbah speaking after the first Test against WI:

"It was tricky, when you're chasing such a small total you want to relax but these things happen in cricket. Happy to have won the game after a tough last six Tests."

"It was always on the cards that the weather would play a part on the first three days so we had one chance to get them out quickly and then play one long innings otherwise it wouldn't have been possible."

"Bowlers did really well, first innings Amir's spell was crucial and then Yasir's spell in the second innings was the game changer."

"Selection of bowlers depends on the type of pitch, this pitch had a lot of moisture so we opted to bowl first and go with three seamers. It's difficult for us to have 5 bowlers since we go with 6 batsman. We'll see the pitch for the next match and select accordingly."

"If you aren't enjoying cricket then there's no point of playing. I'm not the kind of person to linger around if I'm not enjoying every moment. These wins are special and I'm still enjoying it, we want to go out there and be competitive. It was a wonderful Test match, one more that the team gave to me as a gift."

"Pleased with both departments of our team; we batted well when batting wasn't that easy and our bowlers bowled on good lines"

"It was good to see Yasir bowl so well especially since he was short of confidence"

"It was important for him to perform and he did that with a match winning spell"

"I have been out in the 90s before so am used to that"

"Younis Khan is a champion; to join the 10000 run club is a great achievement"

"Just shows the commitment and determination of the man"

"He is a great example for youngsters in his attitude to the game and in accepting challenges"

"All of us have learnt so much from Younis as he is a mentor for the team and a role model as well "

Yasir Shah

"Spinners have most support in the second innings so I pay attention to my line and length and give it my all"

"I have done a lot of drills and preparation with Mushy bhai and Azhar bhai and wanted to perform here as the last series wasn't good for me"

"This ball slips sometimes so my focus is on minimising the bad balls"

"I performed well in the England series but struggled Australia due to the conditions. I've performed in Sri Lanka also so I'll just look to continue performing wherever I play"

Above all what this Test has done is give much needed confidence to Amir and Yasir after a torrid tour of Australia. Abbas showed good control of line and length on his debut, and we've got Hasan Ali to return. Our pacers will welcome bowling with the Dukes.

Good to see Babar, Sarfraz and Misbah get runs under their belt after their lean run of form in Tests.

Misbah's tactics were better than what we saw in Australia where he was way too defensive. Glad he started with Yasir and Amir from ball one today.

Need to maintain our intensity in Barbados and Dominica, but still fear whether our four bowler strategy is sustainable if we're playing 3 seamers.

The only way I can see of realistically getting a fifth bowling option into this team would be Hafeez and yeah, that's not happening. Would be nice if one of the batsmen like Azhar or Shafiq worked on their bowling to provide a reliable part-time option too.

That might change if Shadab shows he has genuine ability with the bat, in which case we could slot him in at 7 and shift everyone else up a spot but the biggest problem is that none of our bowlers are great with the bat so lengthening the tail at all is courting disaster.

Simply drop Wahab and include Shadab for the next game.

Pacers have played an important role in the last couple of matches at Kensington Oval, don't see us going in with just two fast-bowlers unless the pitch is heavily suited to spin.

I agree, so only possible change is to drop Wahab Riaz and bring in Hasan Ali.
