Haris Rauf Currently now had 82 wickets in International T20 cricket. Shadab Khan became the first Pakistani to get to 100 wickets, with Rauf now looking to become the second. Will be interesting to see when he gets and against which opponent.

Haris Rauf has come a long way and am looking forward to this achievement for him.

100 wickets or whatever

He couldn’t get Kohli when it mattered

He couldn’t

He will likely do it in far less games than Shadab too.

He couldn’t

That was just Kohlis day, and even than had Nawaz not bowled a no-ball maybe we could have still won, the preassure might have gotten to Rauf, that over, but we cant deny Kohli, just played the innings of his life that day.

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s right-arm speedster Haris Rauf is just six wickets shy from breaking a long-standing T20I record when his side takes on New Zealand in the remaining two PAK vs NZ T20Is of the five-match series.

Haris has the perfect opportunity to dethrone West Indies’ Jason Holder in the list of bowlers with the most wickets in a five-match T20I series.

The West Indian all-rounder claimed a record 15 wickets in a five-match series against England in 2021.

Haris, on the other hand, has thus far claimed 10 wickets in just three PAK vs NZ T20Is and needs to take six more to break Holder’s record.

Interesting to know, lets hope Haris Rauf can break this record as well

This guy started playing international cricket a few years ago, and he's already near 100 wickets.

First Shadab now him. I guess Pakistan is the T20 Nation?

Well done to him, but despite this he still failed to make a impact in the world cup when it mattered the most.

The likes of Mohammed Wasim who hardly plays as much international cricket was able to match his performances.

One of the best fast bowlers of this generation.

Bumrah is a poor man's Rauf and Shami is about 71.2% as good as him and that too in initial spells.

He is another drama.

Ran away from Test cricket after one spell, very average in ODIs and choked under pressure in the T20 World Cup in conditions that he was supposedly very familiar with.

Calling him one of the best fast bowlers of this generation is a ridiculous claim - he is a right-handed Wahab Riaz at best.

Even to be a right handed Wahab Riaz is not bad for so called gully mohalla bowler, but he has actually performed better than Wahab in T20 internationals based on my viewing as I have no time to look up stats. He did not run away from Tests but simply not been required as Pakistan have better alternatives. An attacking wicket taking bowler like him will go for runs, so Kohli chancing his arms against him is no shame. Has happened to ATG bowlers too.

Wow

I have a complete opposite view. Bumrah is way better than Rauf, and so is Shami to be honest.

The key factor is Bumrah and Shami have done it in all three formats, and I would definitely trust Bumrah in death overs compared to Rauf.

Don't think much success expected of him in Pindi! But lets see

With the 1 wicket he took today, he is currently at 83, he will need 3 more wickets to Pass Umar Gul and Saeed Ajaml who finished with 85 wickets each in their career.

This scattergun has eliminated Pakistan
Spray gun just another crap version of Sami who’s always on the cusp of a severe battering. Well this World Cup should be the end of this scatter gun. Kohli ended his career with that beating he took hasn’t ever recovered this weak scatter gun

He should not play T20Is, let him play First class for 1 year
I do agree with what you say, but considering the next world cup is in Windies/USA maybe he can be an asset, Shadab Khan needs to get back into first class cricket ASAP

2 wickets today puts him at a total of 85 wickets now. He is tied with Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal for Pakistans All time T20I wickets

Got smashed by Finn Allen in 2nd T20 Match. He needs to be dropped for Zaman now. Too much of him.

Not sure why he opens when he tends to get hit all around - never has been a opening bowler

This is how stats are misleading at some times . those three wickets were useless .
Tbh they made it a reasonable chasing score instead of 220+ that was on the cards

He can’t bowl in the powerplay, but who can for Pakistan? They messed up their relationship with Imad who could have got them through 2-3 overs in the powerplay and now everyone can be taken down

For what he is

Rauf is still one of the best death bowlers in the world.
One of the best death overs bowler? I don't agree, especially considering his pathetic economy rate.

Yes, he bowls well in death overs, but he is not one of the best among others in death overs.

I’ve been saying it for a long time. I think he really is one of the best death bowlers in the world. I can’t name many better than him right now at the death.

Imad used to bowl some tight over but he was not a wicket taker . Shaheen is not the same Bowler anymore post injury .let's wait for Naseem Shah come back as he is best opening Bowler for Pakistan right now .

Guys like Finn Allen will line up and delete Naseem too bro. He’s not that good

Well you need someone to give you less than 10 runs economy in the powerplay, wickets will build through the pressure. Imad could dot in the PP, that was his strength

The team requires a bowler which can open and then bowl in the death. Rauf does not offer this therefore should not make the team until Naseem is back

2 wickets today in 3rd t20 vs NZ puts Haris Rauf at 90 wickets. 10 wickets away now from 100

Today spell 4 over 60 runs and 2 wickets . Need to post accurate so in future people's can read the full story of these wickets

Again thread is about countdown to 100 wickets not his bowling figures and how many runs he went for each match those who are watching match can see his spell, granted he want for a lot of runs today but again its very simple, the thread is about his countdown to 100 wickets.

A thread purely dedicated to Haris getting 100 wickets in T20 format? You are bound to get analytical thoughts behind him reaching that potential milestone. Live a little.

With his 3 wickets today vs England he now has 95 t20 international wickets 5 away from 100 wickets now

Haris Rauf now has 100 international t20 wickets, second Pakistani bowler to do so :) well done Rauf

Haris Rauf becomes third quickest to pick 100 wickets in T20Is. What a feat. to achieve.

FASTEST TO 100 T20I WICKETS

Rashid Khan (AFG) - 53 matches
Wanindu Hasaranga (SL) - 63 matches
Haris Rauf (PAK) - 71 matches
Mark Adair (IRE) - 72 matches
Bilal Khan (OMA) - 72 matches

Haris Rauf during a post game presser:

"It is not an easy pitch to bat on so as a bowling unit we try to restrict the opponent side to the lowest total. And i had a believe on myself that i can make a comeback after the injury. I worked hard on my weak areas and after the injury i had a hunger to make a strong comeback and of course my past performances helped me in this regard. I feel proud when i contribute with the bowl."

"I think we started not that bad, we assessed the bowling conditions as soon as possible. As a bowling unit, our comeback was great, the way we restricted them to 106."

"Whether I take 100 or 200 or even 300 T20I wickets, each wicket taken for my country is huge and very close to my heart."

"We are focusing on our games and not bothering about the qualifications scenarios (if and buts) we are trying to win the games and we will accept the outcome."

Congrats to haris rauf but what the hell is shaddy doing here ? :D
