Haris Rauf needs to tone down his aggressive celebrations

Someone needs to have a word with him. His bowling has been wayward at best even against even a lower ranked team.

His aggressive screams are seriously cringe worthy and it's not even like he's taking 5fers. It's the odd wicket here and there after giving away loads of runs.

I think he was even told to stop his cut throat type celebration during his BBL stint.

I'd rather he put more effort in improving his bowling because better batsmen will put him away all day long.

Hes avged 16 this series with 6 wickets in 3 games

Youd have thought with this hate thread hes avged 60!!

And been the most consistent pakistan pacer I dont understand the hate for him

Not hating on him, there's room for improvement but those over the top celebrations must stop, it's not good to see.

What’s next? Harris Rauf needs to tuck his shirt in and wear a cap in the field?

He’s an individual. Let him be one, not a robot.

Finally we are seeing a natural aggressive bowler from Pakistan after a long time since 2 Ws and Shoaib AKHTAR. Pleas let him be like this, he will be a real asset on SA and Nzl pitches, with his pace and only if he can learn how to bowl with new ball. I think he will become a good bowler soon. Please play him in test or he should play more 4 days game.

I like the aggression but the screams are horrible. Even “aggressive” bowlers in the past like Shoaib had elegant celebrations with the arms flayed “jet taking off”

No need for high-pitched shrieks of anger, to be honest.

I agree with you. Prime candidate to be involved in off field controversies in the future

Anyhow. I agree. Aggressive celebrations are cool. But his are OTT. Its well exaggerated, man is trying to sound like batman.

He is on badtameez player quota, let him be.

His aggression is good but his screaming isnt good

Specially hilarious when he screams and celebrates after picking Zimbabwe tailenders. The way he celebrates you would have thought he just picked up Kohli and won Pak the WC :))

I mean, what if he's just naturally loud?

Babar: "Haris, use your quite voice."

Haris: "I am."

Agreed. It's obnoxious and makes us look like idiots. You can celebrate passionately without making yourself look like a fool. Learn from Steyn.

I was a bit annoyed by his celebration but then I realised that’s not the problem. He needs to tone UP his performance and serve Pakistan better. Because so far he has not been consistent or impressive at the international level.

Once he starts to win us games or bowl well, I don’t care if he screams in the batsman’s face and gets a fine after every match.

Every individual is unique and has their own personality. The screams are amplified because there are no fans or crowd noise in the stadium. This is an absurd thread, next one will be Harris needs a face transplant because he looks too mean.

Being passionate is one thing, Shaheen too does the Jump and Fist Pump in the Air on most occasions, but compare his and Rauf's celebration, & you'll understand why the scream sounds rather annoying.

I hope he doesn't get mixed in some off field antics but going by whatever I've seen of him, on field, won't be really surprised if he does.

Agreed. He is picking up cheap inconsequential. I would understand if it's a match changing wicket.

His pace has been disappointing too. Operating in the low to mid 130's with the occasional ball at 140 km/hr is hardly the stuff of legends

I don't care about the celebrations but it would be more helpful if he can put that energy and focus into improving his fielding and learning how to land two balls in the same place.

The aggression is fine, the screams a bit cringy.

Though definitely not something worth to have a conservation about.

Whenever he bowls poorly, his fans are like:

“He only started bowling with a hard ball 5 days ago”

It doesn’t matter if he started 5 days ago or 5 minutes ago, the bottom-line is that he is 27 but is as raw as a 17 year old.

On top of that, his attitude, body language, fitness and fielding are very poor.

He is a waste of time and Pakistan should look to move on from him very quickly.

Always starts with this. Ends up with being either an Umar Akmal or Hassan Ali.

Haris Rauf has achieved nothing in his career, so the aggressive celebrations against Zimbabwe look stupid.

I don't mind aggressive celebrations from him but he shouldn't direct it towards team. Like in one instance he was questioning babar. Thats unacceptable

He looks way too arrogant for a guy who has played hardly 10 games at the int'l level.

Agreed on attitude. He does look fit though, no?

Maybe he does need to tone his screaming down a little but its hardly a point we should be judging him on now is it?

His bowling is fine Hes been consistently in the wicketsTougher opposition await but hes always at the batsmen and looks like hes always got wickets in him which is a great sign

Hes the type of bowler pakistan needs more of

Only thing that annoys me is is that he sometimes bowls pies and turns out expensive other than that couldn’t give a toss if he screams.

Even if he screams it is annoying and not good but it's his choice if he wants to scream shout hes bowling has been okay but the real test is to come

Once again people with no international wickets to their name telling an international player how to react when he gets a wicket. There's bigger things to worry about.

Name me one pacer in Pak domestic who can out swing at 145k+ and can bowl Yorkers for fun?

Too aggressive

Not aggressive enough

Our cricketers can't win can they.

Personally I think his aggression is great as long as he doesn't overdo the celebrations.

We need a few 'badtameez' players and this guy could be one of them.

Not a fan of him. Don't see a long future for him other than occasional T20 successes

Not OTT at all. We need fiery in your face Akhtar like attitude fearless fast bowlers. Rauf has the aggression and passion, let him play the way he wants. It’s a man’s game. Passion is king.

Seems like we have some posters who feel these cricketers are their children and want them to act a certain way, probably emulating themselves. Let the guy be himself, at least he has some passion and fire. Shaheen is a better bowler but he could use an injection of aggression like Rauf.

He can celebrate how he wants if he's taking wickets. If he's bowling 20+ overs and celebrating aggressively for his first wicket...then we should be worried.
