"I have made good progress but I am working on my weaknesses" : Haris Rauf

Because of our pathetic pacers and a finished Hassan Ali, he is being forced to bowl in the powerplay.

The reality is he is an old ball death over specialist
He isn't entirely blameless here. Our whole team has been found wanting this wc in various disciplines.

Look at India bowlers no nonsense fake aura of speed, routine fast medium ability to swing conventionally and then reverse it, sticks meticulously to their plan use the crease and creates angle supersonic unlike our katchra thunderbolts

Rauf needs to take a leaf out of the way Shami bowls.

Clever and subtle changes of angle, pace and knowing the weakness of the opposition batters.

Realising it's not just about pace, puffing and panting and hurling the ball as fast as you can.

I often wonder what planning goes ahead of our matches.

Well observed , the planning is what had made a lot of difference.
Before this we did best when Zaheer was captaining the bowling and Dhoni could relax , first time our team and management have been focused on plans that are getting executed thanks to the bowlers.

Paras Mhambrey does bulk of our bowling plans (similar to how Bharath Arun used to do before). There is a serious professionalism when it comes to coaching and setting plans (at individual/team levels). That’s been the hallmark of this Indian team.

Besides all this, I believe how much the player is willing to put in from his own is what will decide the outcome. In India’s case, we are lucky to have players of Shami’s quality still trying to put in hard yards even after being in the circuit for over a decade.

I wanna know what kind of idiot selects a tape ball bowler with no brain for ODIs and Tests. That kind of stuff can work ok in t20s where you can get wickets with rubbish but won't fly anywhere else

Hopefully, he will be dropped against England. Babar is playing him every game.

He is the big reason behind our messed up NRR.

Haris's form in the world cup was poor but it was a different format. Haris can do well in this format and he has to come good else he will be out soon as Zaman is siting on the bench to replace him and Naseem also looking good to be back soon.
