jizia tax being less then what muslims pay is propaganda. you only need to refer to the quran about jiza tax and how it is to be collected from non muslims.

all empires had good and bad, im merely pointing out that one of the largest empires on earth doesnt have a skeaky clean history as many imagine.

The Quran does not specify the rate.
It is was an insurance for protection from military service and aggression from Muslims.
In each era, the basic pattern was the following:
Slow tax, increases in times of economic need, decreases, remains only a small amount.
Not to mention, the Christian kingdoms had a similar tax system.
