Has India finally conquered Pakistan in the fast-bowling department?

For the first time that I can remember and probably in history India has faster and more threatening quick bowlers than Pakistan. Will Pakistan rediscover its fast bowling prowess and or has India surpassed and taken over the mantle from Pakistan?

Just 2 matches on dead UAE pitches and everyone has lost their minds! Pakistan still has deadlier bowlers than India. Look no further than CT and England test series..

I wouldnt say conquered, thats a very strong word. But Buvi and Bumrah are technically very good bowlers who have mastered their basics and therefore have done very well against batsmen who cant think out of the box and just want boundary balls served up to them on a plate. There is a difference, 2/3 good fast bowlers of a certain generation do not overpower a legacy of fast bowlers that have done well for a sustained amount of years

Not exactly. The pakistani bowlers will probably look world class in the world cup in England. If the same pakistani bowlers bowled to the pakistani batsmen, we would probably get them out cheaply too. India's bowling was by no means threatening, the batsmen just don't know how to find the gaps and rotate the strike, they always find a way to self-destruct.

That happened ages ago. Pak bowlers have performed exactly once in the last 8 times they have played India. And even that happened because they had the massive advantage of 340 runs of scoreboard pressure.

India's pace bolwers have outperformed every team, not just Pakistan in the last 4 years.

I think BlackShadow has made a thread here with the relevant stats.

Weren't Hong Kong 174-0 against the same bowlers?

And were bowled out for 116 by Pakistan?

Point is conditions help a lot and sometimes teams can have a few bad outings.

Razzaq smashed McGrath for six 4s in Australia, that doesn't mean McGrath is trash.

NO, Its just our pathetic batting that made your bowlers look good. Don't forget, even HK gave y'all a scare.Zayada hi hawa mein udd rahe hain

Yes and Pakistan scored 300 only once in the last 9 matches against India. Less than 250 I think is 4 times.

Yet, they managed 340 in CT final. Similarly, HK managed 175 against India. Those are exceptions, not the rule.

Anybody who looks at the last few years of cricket with an unbiased view should see that.

It's just Pakistani batsmen making Indian bowlers look like world beaters.

If Indian bowlers were that damn good India would've won more matches in England.

We've drawn both our recent Test series' whereas India has been thrashed.

LOL no not yet.Their premium bowlers in tests and Odis average mid 30s for eg.bhuvneshwar trundler averages 38 in Odis others are not that good either.

The numbers and performances definitely favor the indian bowlers.
The only nuance I would add is that Pakistan's batsmen just dont give their bowlers the cushion of scoring enough runs to truly reveal their pedigree. The much maligned CT campaign had Pakistan bowling first in three games where they went on to win. Against all expectations they punched above their weight batting wise in the final and we saw how scoreboard pressure made Indian batsmen crumble.
It is also why our test bowling is still decent, because our batsmen can bat in their comfort zone to score runs over two days so that the bowlers have something to work with.

So I would say definitely India in limited overs game has certainly a better bowling attack than Pakistan, but I also put the blame of Pakistan's unflattering bowling down to their batsmen as well.

As far as being faster is concerned.wahab at 33 is still quickest and much faster than every other pacers from subcontinent.

Share the the stats brother. What is Shami, Bumrah and Bhuvi's Test average?

How much do Shami and Bumrah average in ODIs?

Hope I get a response. :))

Bumrah is the difference. Currently on form he is the best fast bowler in the world in all formats.

Test stats for pacers, last 3 years -

Pakistani pacers rank worse than WI, and slightly better than Afgans and Ireland. :wahab

And Varun Aaron is even quicker than him. But neither are good enough to play for their countries are they? :ashwin

Visit his hawkeye speeds for last many matches he played. Trundled the entire 2017 before he got kicked out.

Even his current 'pace' claims are a myth used to derail the thread to another topic.

SL has won their last series in England. They could be better than PAK and Ind.

As individual player, Pakistani bowlers will surpass Indian bowlers.

As a unit, Indian bowlers gets the job done while Pakistani bowlers as a unit, may not be able to complement each other.

Pick what you want to have. There's no right or wrong in this.

Whom do you think is individually better than Bumrah in Pak lineup?

They are certainly closing the gap. We need to put our egos aside and understand that the Indian bowling attack is more than a match for our attack. Amir on a good day might get into the Indian team . Whilst Hasan Ali probably does. Other than that I don't think any of our other bowlers get into the Indian team. Shami,Kumar ,and Bumrah are better than Juanid ,Shinwari,Ruman ,etc.

Got to give credit to India for improving in the fast bowling department.

Whom do you think is individually better than Bumrah in Pak lineup?

Probably the players who didn't bowl to India yet? Rumaan Rees and some bowlers from PSL, U19 Pak team and domestics. All of them are better than Bumrah.

Heck , even Shoib Malik as a bowler is better than Bumrah and Faheem Ashraf better than Shami, We only have trundler brigade.
