Sounds ridiculous , Doesn't it? Fast bowling is more than a full time job . We see many part time spinners or the dibbly dobbly medium pacers but has there ever been a part time fast bowler? Like who could crank upto 135kph and more?

Yes but not in the sense you mean. Shoaib Akhtar missed half the tests pakistan played during his career due to injury.

You mean bowlers who bowl at least 145+

The ones who broke down and vanished early are actually Part-timers in some ways! Like Shane Bond, Shaun Tait, etc. You won't get to see Part-time Fast Bowlers in a match, you will probably see Part-timers in their career!

Even Medium-pacers like Irfan Pathan, Nehra, etc belong to this category once they lost their skills (swing).

If Pandya from India continue to bowl fast and become effective (than the main bowlers) as he did in CT, we will no more treat him as part-timer (until he breaks down or loses his form). That's the value of fast-bowling alrounders!

Yes, Angelo Mathews before he broke. Clocked 135+ regularly, but was not a front line fast bowler. Other person I can think of is Asanka Gurusinha, termed right arm medium. Gurusinha was a strapping 6'2" man with massive shoulders. His bowling was very occasional, but I have seen one spell he was hitting bat harder than front line fast bowlers of SL. I have no idea about pace though.

Part time fast bowlers are called all rounders.

Even part time spinners lile yuvraj were called allrounders

Kallis used to be around that speed and rarely completed his 10 overs every game.
