If this is what it motivates him to do - I say bring it on!

You could see his reaction after the catch. It was like 'Yeah, talk nah!'

Really ?? Some Pak fans are a disgrace.

Glad though the lad showed mental toughness to get over it.

its not just fans. i was watching a show on tv and some former cricketer (dont recall who) was saying why is he even in the team he drops catches in every match he plays. he has this habit and they should go send him back to domestic cricket for giving us an incomplete product.

In any case, point is a pro cricketer should be equipped to handle such situations when he is not performing adequately. They get all the adulation when they do well, so they should expect some stick when they fail.

I was at the game and sitting on the side that he took the catch , and I dont recall him getting abused. Rather, the crowd and myself, were applauding him, when he took three wickets and came to square leg, and he acknowledged the fans a few times as well. :/ Bit strange to be honest.

Yeah on the day fair enough but he was alluding that he was getting abused yesterday for Sunday's dropped catch. If that is correct then that's not right.

I've been to many Pak matches in England, vast majority of Pak fans are fantastic but we also have a small section of jahil fans who love abusing their own players at every opportunity they get. They get some weird kick out of it.

Doesn't actually say that it was Pakistani fans giving him the abuse. I was in the crowd when we were getting hammered by India but didn't hear any abuse by Pakistani fans towards our players even then.

Didnt he say in the post match talk that the crowd gave him positive energy?

In fact the crowd was amazing.

Why were they abusing him though?

Because he dropped a catch against India of Yuvraj Singh.

When he told me regarding the abuse, I was actually surprised but I guess you always get one or two idiots everywhere.

Normally I would say something along the lines of "Why can't they understand, he didn't do it on purpose", but after 2010 and not to mention the Justice Quyyum report we now know that anything is possible.

he didnt say he should be sent back to domestic cricket, quote some properly if you have all he said was he drops catches every other game which is true and said the domestic coaches should be questioned as well

Are we sure it wasn't a few spectators at the ground who were abusing him? Edgbaston has a history of bigotry. :moali

I can say only a "word" to these guys. I remember once I think misbah used that to umar akmal.

He was fielding at midoff when he dropped Yuvrajs catch. I was sitting in the stand behind him and it was many indians who were abusing him and telling him to drop another and a couple were shouting butterfingers at him.

I was at the match and some sections of the crowd were booing Hassan Ali before the game started. But its a shame , he is an xcellent athlete, gives 100% in batting fielding and his awesome bowling. Him, shadab and malik were the only positives from the indian game. He was xecellent despite dropping the catch and going for 70 but any one would gonfor tht many with opposition having sooooo many wickets in hand

Players and the general audience don't get to dictate how the fans in the stadiums react. As a player, you can either whine about it or use it as an inspiration to perform better. Hasan certainly did the latter, and it speaks volumes of his character.

I agree with this - every time Hasan came near my stand, he was applauded and cheered loudly, and he acknowledged it too. Not sure where he was getting abuse from.

Hassan is mentally tough he has the natural killer instinct of a Pakistani fast bowler.

Perhaps some Indian fans were having a go at him. It's part of the rivalry, we give them back the same make no mistake about that.

I don't see the big deal - Hasan is an young cricketer - he would obviously be pumped.

Was at the game myself, the whole crowd was loving him, acknowledged the crowd several times and got a loud cheer when he went back to field after his second or third wicket.

As someone has said, it must have been the India match where he got abuse.

The only player I seen get abused was Shehzad when the crowd kept chanting "Selfie" whenever he came by

It was definitely the dropped catch, every fan would be angry after seeing something like that as it can defo make you lose the game.

Last time Afridi took similar type of running catch and we won the cup if you know what I mean :smith

Hasan is referring to the match against South Africa.

Must have been angry to do that bechara!

But great to see that he did not let it spoil his concentration.

in the south africa game hasan was fielding for most of the game
where we were sitting and noone from
the crowd was rude to
him then, actualy we cheered him a lot and he even smiled and waved at us
