While quality of opposition might not be great in all 3 cases, still a hat-trick in any form of the game, at any level of the game is special, no doubt about that.

chahar and shami hattricks were against tailenders in dying moments of the game where batsmen were just trying to smash the balls out of park. Bumrah hattrick was all quality, also considering it was in test cricket where you actually need to bowl good balls to get wickets.

How many bowlers have taken 3 consecutive wickets in 3 consecutive deliveries, irrespective of the level of batsmen they dismissed?

Point remains, a hat-trick is mighty difficult achievement and hence are very rare to find in 140-odd years of cricketing history.

I am sure using the same logic you wouldn't rate Wasim, Waqar and Saqline's hattricks as well in limited overs cricket. Most of the wickets except one or two fallen were tailenders trying to throw bat at everything.

That logic will not work for them bro...

Wonder why Indian fans didn't rate Faheem Ashraf's hat-trick against Lanka in the Pandya v Ashraf thread.

:))

What was Faheem's performance like after the hattrick and against better teams? If Chahar fails miserably like Faheem going ahead, which I highly doubt' you would find me here bashing his performance left, right, center. More than the no of wickets or even the hattrick itself what I liked was the character he showed under pressure and considering he is predominantly a new ball bowler before that mach makes this performance even more impressive. We were about to lose a series to Bangladesh at home for crying out loud, the stake was much higher than what you think. Not saying he is a world beater or anything but definitely a more than decent 3rd/4th seamer for us.

BTW credit to Faheem for the hattrick, too bad he couldn't shine after that.

Yeah well, my post was not about a comparison between Faheem and Chahar. But Indian fans stinking up that thread discrediting a hat-trick, while lauding their bowlers' reeks of double standards.

Cool, may be you should take it up to those posters who discredited Faheem's hat-trick, I don't remember doing that.
