So, India couldn’t win any ICC event for over 10 years, even though they were consistently knocking on the door. However, after winning the WT20 2024, they are now on the verge of winning the next immediate ICC event.

Is it safe to say that the mental block has been removed, the floodgates have opened, and we can expect India to win a barrage of ICC events in the next decade?

How many ICC trophies can India win from here?

We have following ICC trophies coming up -

WT20 2026 - India
WC 2027 - SA

We should be winning both?

Not unless we beat australia in the finals.
Aussies in finals are the true big baddie.
I think australia has lost only 2 finals in entire history and that too 1975 and 1996

If everyone including Bumrah, Mayank are fit we should win next t20 wc quite easily

There are plenty of weaknesses man.. it wasnt such a smooth sailing.
India is far ahead of all other cricket countries. Upcoming talent from other countries is useless.

A real era of domination is coming up. I don't see Australia being able to compete in the future - their next gen looks like duds. England is down for now, South Africa is a mixed bag.

I don’t think they will win in 2027, but they will take home the Asia Cup and T20 WC.

That 2027 WC will be in tougher conditions that will boost the SENA teams.

Let’s remain grounded. There are some good teams in this world. It’s disrespectful to other teams to assume like that.

IPL and bccis financial muscle will ensure India will be a top white ball side for the next 10-20 years.

Other teams do not have the bench strength or financial muscle to invest in infrastructure, player development.

Only a full strength team of Rizwan, Babar, Shaheen, Naseem, Saim and Fakhar can stop India.
You forgot ihansullah

I mean he has god in his name. We don’t have such a god tier player

Closest we have to god is chakrvarthy with his sudarshana chakra

India can though we have the pacers to do it

But new gen will need to step up

We have a good record in SA

Mayank yadav rana bumrah Nitish reddy pandya and venky Iyer or sundar that’s a tough team to beat

But yes will be interesting

Let’s not take it for granted. We thought the same in 2013 and it took us 11 years to win the next one.

Got to earn these trophies
No the team was never that good.

This team is complete.

2026 is a certainty. 2027 need another fast bowling allrounder.

FOREVER.

The gap will only increase.

Australia and England will remain the same. It's India who will improve even further due to the economy.

India is finally using it's population.

yes..i think india will win next t20 wc with ease.. not sure about the next 50 over wc.. in wtc india is not likely to win anytime in near future.. CT also india may win next time also

Unless WTC finals format changes, it shall remain kinda joke.
Host nation has never qualified and the venue simply favors the SENA at it shows.

t20 wc should be easy win

odi wc - need to develop some pace allrounders and pacers to repalce shami. need to see how rana/arshdeep develop.

wtc - team should develop by say the 2029 cycle. 2027 too early.

2029 ct - again should be comfortable

South Africa is the favorite ground for India. THey won in 2007, reached final in 2003. Played 20 ICC matches Lost only 4. Second best after Australia who 17 lost only 3. The tracks they use will be flat.

India will definitely reach the knockout rounds.

I'm just not as certain about them winning it as I am with the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup. It should be a much tougher fight for India in Africa but it's still a good team that can get the job done on the day.

Ind has good chance for T20 WC. Current team with the Sharmas and Varmas is much stronger. However, SENA teams will bring their absolute best in 2027 WC and spin will be completely neutralize in such conditions.

Pak pace attack will also come to light in such conditions.

Bumrah
Rana
Arshdeep
Mayank yadav
Siraj is good there too
Prasidh kirshna
Kuldeep far the best depth
Quality attack

I dint even mention other guys on fringes like yudhvir Singh and maybe even yash thakur who has improved

All rounders
Nitish reddy
Venkat iyer
Shardul thakur
Pandya
Yudhvir Singh can bat

I actually see India winning again

Arshdeep was very good against a full strength SA batting in 2023 in ODIs

Go Bumrah, Arshdeep, Rana/Chakri, Axar, Pandya, NKR

Pandya
Venkatesh iyer
Yudhvir singh
Nitish reddy
Shardul thakur

I think there is plenty of pace all rounders
For 4th and 5th bowling optikns

Bear in mind India want batting till 8

So no more duds batting at 8 anymore under gambo

9 will be Varun as his record is good in SA

10 and 11 my surprise is Arshdeep and bumrah

Backup Rana, Mayank yadav for express pace, maybe umran if he improves and

yup. 3 bowlers. 3 all rounders.

I genuinely believe in Nitish reddy
Passed the eye test
He is an out of the box pick

He will be deadly. He can play pace and spin. He bowls decent deliveries for a 4th seamer.

Nitish is killer batsman. You don't score century at MCG vs Boland, Starc, Cummins if you are nto good.

If he can improve his bowling just a bit will be a decade long player.

Raj Bawa (MoM U19 2022 final) also is promising.
