Hindu Group (Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha) Offers Cow Urine in a Bid to Ward off Coronavirus

Camel urine is something Indians use as an excuse to bring up a case against their wide spread cow urine drinking practice. Urine is completely forbidden in Islam, it's haram be it camel's or anyone's. How do you even bring it up when it doesn't even exist? :)

Not the case with cow urine and cow's dunk in India. Not to malign Hinduism but from the videos I have seen and what I have read, it seems quite common among the many villagers and Hindu religious leaders. I wouldn't be surprised if BJP has this as a requirement to join their party lol.

So many things wrong in your post.

Gandhi did not drink his urine. It was Morarji Desai. He was a dimwit.

Cow urine is no.1 soda?

It is not wide spread in India. I have not heard about this and I lived for 21 years in India. Its only in the past 20 years since Ramdev baba and his Patanjali started promoting this as a cure for various illnesses.

Now this Hindu Maha sabha guys are doing it. There is a reason why dimwits are laughed at.

Some weird and wonderful cures being proclaimed around the world.

People should be more responsible.

Can you please point out which part of this article or video mentioned about cow urine?

This video talked about 4 myths to avoid for Covid19 -
1) Eat Garlic
2) Drink water every minutes
3) Eating Ice cream
4) Collodial silver

No where did this article mentioned about Cow Urine.

Not sure what are you trying to point here.

Again denying by modern men just because it is embarrassing.

It is clear in the Hadith and Camel Urine was prescribed as a cure for ill health. Arabs still drink Camel Urine. They know their religion. Just because some one in South Asia does not drink does not make it false.

It is what it is. Just accept and move on. People in medieval and stone age used to do weird things or basically anything that gives good health. Life was tough in those times.

Which hadith prescribes camel urine, this is first time i am hearing this.

Just because some Hindus are drinking Cow urine and eating Cow dung, it doesn’t mean that the rest of humanity should follow suit.

Animal urine fetishes

Can people obsessed with urine consumption discuss their issues in this thread properly.

Cow urine consumption is a well established practice among certain Hindus.

Recently I read sentiments by PP's scholar on Islam and expert in Hadith troodon mention that

I see what you are posting about cow urine in every post of yours. I know what Muslims drink. So don't act all clean when Muslims do the same with a different animal.

In another deleted post he also claimed that this practice is part of Muslim culture. I replied to his claim but the whole interaction was deleted.

We all know which of Muslim's favorite beverage he is referring to. No it's not the Lassi or Zam Zam water.

It's camel urine which he claims is part of Muslim culture and practiced by Muslims just like how cow urine is consumed by Hindu groups.

Now I may not be a practicing Muslim anymore but my lifestyle and culture is heavily influenced by Islamic upbringing and Muslim culture. When I hear about such exaggeratd claims about importance of this special beverage among Muslims and in Muslim culture I can't help but cringe.

There is indeed a narration of Prophet Muhammad where he told a group of travelers to consume camel urine mixed with camel milk to relieve them of their symptoms but that's about it. There are no Quran verses about this nor are there many other accounts of it being a regular practice of the Prophet or his companions.

It's most likely an Arab Bedouin tradition predating Islam. At best Islam tolerates the practice.

From my life and experience this practice is almost non-existent among Muslims.

I have been to countless Islamic sermons and heard about endless remedies promoted by Islamic scholars to help treat a disease and gain relief from pain. Most of them include many prayers and ridiculous amount of verses to be repeated for some arbitrary number of time and perhaps here and there consumption of certain herbs and fruits. In none so far I have come acorss advice to consume the special beverage.

I haven't even seen the most jahil of the jahil recommend this. Even the extremist groups like IS have not been seen promoting it and destroying hospitals and medicine in favor of this treatment.

This special beverage although tolerated in Islam is by no stretch of the imagination part of Muslim culture and is not a household item. No one in mosque is discussing the consumption of this beverage and most spend their whole lives without ever hearing about this practice.

Are you asking it from a religious point of view or psychological point of view of "fetishes" of human mind? If its latter, i may add a few points about how we, as a human, though may perceive some actions as disgusting yet, unknowing to us, many could practice it for different reasons (nothing related to religion though).

I meant fetish in a irritated way since so many poster from both sides of the border were discussing it in every other thread. I originally made the post as a new thread so that those posters could discuss those thoughts there.
