Bhangra has always been a speciality amongst the sikh brothers. The Bhangra scene has always been huge in the UK although the quality has declined over the years, many of its origins can also be traced to my own city of Brum during the late 60s when Balbir Singh recorded the first ever studio album in the country when it came to the genre under the oriental star agencies record label from balsall heath. Then it just took off when more of the Punjabi immigrants came over; really big sikh community in brum. Use to be a fan of gurdas maan he came over here quiet often.

I am not a Punjabi either but some of their songs are really nice.You should give it a try.
There are many better punjabi songs than this as well. What bollywood also copies from our punjabi songs is what we used to hear decade back.
Punjabi food , punjabi music , punjabi attitude has no match really. Though i am not being egoistic about this.

Male singers have voice like females. Every punjabi song I have listened to. Don't enjoy them, and the way you have to shrug your shoulders to match the beat while dancing. When I go to a disco, I don't hit the dance floor if some punjabi song is playing. Just a matter of taste.
May be you heard a bangladeshi song. Matter of taste yeah. You should listen bhojpuri and if panjabi male singer have voice like female then lions dnt roar they do miyaaoh like cats and cats roar like lion.. May be it happens in your type of world. We can never judge.
