How can I rotate the strike more?

I have batted a lot for club recently. I have been getting runs but at a very slow strike rate (probably test strike rate) this is because when I'm not hitting fours I'm defending. How can I rotate strike better and find the gaps?

When you start an innings, make sure you get your timing right and eye in by playing straighter to mid off or mid on. Just work the ball into gaps like behind square, through covers or midwicket etc. Just play your natural shots and the runs will come. Don't go looking for boundaries straight away when you start an innings.
