Yogi is a pathetic disgrace of a human being, much worse than the Gujju duo. Now that India's moral compass is broken and him being from UP, expect this extremist to be PM one day. Some Hindus may get cheap thrills from these incidents, they may like to see the Muslims being put in their place as soothing balm for perceived historical injustice, they better watch out because once that 'enemy' is vanquished Hindutva fanatics will come for them. That is how cults operate, and this is an evil, crazy, bloodthirsty cult we are talking about. BJP is simply the Hindu version of Taliban, worse because they have more legitimacy on the back of two massive election victories.

It is not about putting muslims to their place, although some may enjoy that. It is about healing wounds and finding closure. Hindus should get a Peace & Reconciliation Commission which helps in healing the wounds of this oppressed community, instead of being shamed for pulling down the power symbols of the oppressors.

One thing I will say, it does seem Pakistan has started to reverse this a bit with the statue of Ranjit Singh in Lahore. There is definitely room to expand on this in other ways though, preservation of ancient names of streets and buildings for example. Never tire of expressing my disgust at the naming of the eating area in Lahore as simply Food Street.

Pakistanis have got closure for their wounds (except K) as they got their own homeland with islamic heritage and culture, so now they can be constructive and more accommodating.

This is why I am batting for hindus to get their own closure, so they stop being destructive. But looks like no country for these hindus The worst thing that was done to hindus was not the oppression, but the denial to mourn their loss, the denial that anything wrong happened to them. I think would be easier for the world to feel sympathy if we understood what were the losses. We hear constantly about Mughal architecture eclipsing hindu structures, but not so much about British doing the same. I suppose it depends on your perspective, for me both empires took India forward, but some might feel only we British brought real benefit. Would be interested to hear views on it.

Except that isn't pre-Islamic and a shameful period of history where Muslims were subjugated like almost never prior. It's almost shameful how Pakistan is cowtowing to a culture that views Pakistan like Judaism does Jerusalem; a right to return to the spiritual homeland. This is the endgame

As long as they don’t have official laws where People can’t critique a religion without a fear for being hanged or ensuring no Muslim or non-Hindu gets into a authority status I think India is going to be fine. I would be more concerned or places where those archaic laws are part of the constitution and it is a no no even to amend them.

As I said india has its problems but I can tell you multiple facts where it is better than countries you hold to your heart
