Although I am extremely disappointed by the performance of Pakistani media and don't really follow our new channels.
But Indian media seems to be treading on an even more disastrous path, I believe that people of India are being manipulated by media and the government.
But the question is how can indian public bear people like Goswami, even the wisest ones seem to have been brainwashed.

India with such an enormous potential can compete even with the likes of China and USA, the only thing that is going to be detrimental to their rise is going to the mindset of their people (which has brainwashed by media and government for decades).

PS: We have also been brainwashed as well for decades but not to that extent.

As a balanced person, I even have some Indian Idols, like Harsha Bhogle and Mukesh Ambani (Post reliance-withdrawl). I think, most people in sub-continent take patriotism to extreme levels (specially in India).

Be patriotic, but please don't let patriotism empower your ability to reason.

So why can't you guys ban people like goswami?

Ofcourse he is doing it all to increase viewership. It is just that education seems to have a rather complicated role in such scenarios. Some of the biggest supporters of the Modi govt are from the relatively more educated middle and business class. Similarly, we have seen people from the educated middle class joining extremist organisations in Pakistan (or even in the West). For some reason, the relatively educated middle classes seem to be most susceptible to jingoism and extremism.

Precisely what he is doing. I remember he was a secular when he was with NDTV long time ago. He has found a void for Right wing channel and filled it magnificiently.

Most people in India do not care about what is happening at the border. They worry about their next meal or family. The only time they give for the News is when they are having dinner and they get News from Far Right or Left wing channels depending on their political preferences.

Of course, watsapp and facebook are another source where people read the News (mostly fake).

5) The worst part is when he is not letting them respond properly, he takes over and starts his same old lecture : "In India we have civilized debate, so listen to me, me, me, me, me, me and my panlists'

6) Once the other part has a good point he comes in and changes the topic and runs to his panelists for some back-up help. and then he starts insulting the counter-panelists.

7) My blood starts boiling, and the worst part si he always invites some guests who can't express them properly in english (like myself)

NDTV is probably the only channel where they let the speakers speak without interruptions to a certain extent. There are idiots on that channel too. I think in that part of the world, interrupting the guest and talking over the guest loudly is considered 'hard hitting journalism'. The best journalists are famous for their 'silence'. The great ones eke out answers that the guests never intended to reveal.

Why do you watch this show if you don't mind me asking? From what it sounds like, it is probably aimed more at hardcore anti-Islam viewership of India (and by extension anti-Pakistan obviously). Just watch The Sopranos instead. Or Ertugrul if you want to strike a blow to the heart of the Arnab types.

Lol, I started watching Ertugrul when not many had heard about that show. Have seen all 5 seasons, have seen both seasons of Osman, have seen all seasons of Payitaht Abdul Hamid. These are infact the only full serieses I have watched. Recommend the last one
