Here are my examples. The first two examples are me at the Line of Control in Keran where the river Neelum separates the village Keran into Neelum Valley (AJK) and Kupwara (IOK).

That's pretty nice. But I'm afraid this guy has your number when it comes to expressing love for one's country visually.

Thinkin' about getting a crescent moon & star tattoo and a tattoo of my name written in Urdu.

Maybe at a cricket match but that's all.

Why do you have to show your love 'visually'?

That's a separate debate. Be positive Of course on a daily basis one wouldn't.

I prefer to do it more practically when I go over by helping those in need, learning about the culture and visiting as many places as possible. It is an amazing country and it's nice to have my background to this place on the planet.

Agreed. I enjoyed my time in Lahore, Pindi, Skardu, Muzaffarabad, Athmuqam and Keran which I visited in under three weeks in May/June earlier this year. It filled me with great happiness doing that.

It's a bit too hot for me in the summer, I prefer going in Feb/March it's perfect. Where are you from in Pakistan?

My late mother was from Kashmir. My dad is from between Sohawa and Gujar Khan. I was meant to go to IOK (Kashmir valley) but my gran passed away so I went to Pakistan in May instead. It was very hot, but Skardu and Keran were lovely and very clean.

I often wear the Peshawari hat. Generally, I just love that hat for it's style as well.

How did you stay at those places, hotels or camps ?

I'm not to far from you either. Is it difficult to get into IOK?

Very very very hard. I've got a contact there which should make it a lot easier to get a visa.

I've been to mainland India in 2008 which should help. When things settle between Pakistan and India and I've a chance to go, I will go to IOK then.

Pindi is the nearest big city to our village.

Athmuqam was passing through for a short time. In Lahore, Skardu, Muzaffarabad and Keran, I stayed in hotels. I spent most my time travelling with dad and relatives.

It was tiring but well worth it!!

Security-wise, were Skardu and Keran fine ?

I'm not sure things will settle for a very long time but kudos to you for wanting to visit there.
