Spin they play well by as expected due to nature of pitches but how come they always have stock of well developed good batsmen of pace bowling similar to India while Pakistan is lucky if we get one or two good stroke and technical players like Babar Inzi Yousuf Anwar and rest just develop enough and not to level of Lanka and India.

Lankan Batsmen are good strokeplayers, can counter seam and bounce well, unlike Pakistan who struggle against both seam and bounce. Cant understand it because Srilankan pitches cannot be better supporting for fast bowlers than Pakistan pitches, and most importantly to it Lanka rarely produces 140 plus bowlers even chaminda vaas lone seamer bowled in 130s.

So whats the reason? Is it grooming the selected group of schools like South Africa and England and teaching them well in nets with help of modern methods because i dont see any other reasoning.

Sri Lank school and college cricket system is very good. They have good club cricket as well.

It's actually really strange cause at almost every point in their cricketing history, they have had pretty average pace reserves.

May be with rain always around they get to play in seaming conditions a lot

I believe they have a good system in place.

I expect them to be a powerhouse in cricket again. But, corruption is a big problem for them.
