No it’s not. It’s a domestic Indian league not reflective of international T20 competition.

No bowler worth his salt has ever or will ever be judged to be a great bowler based on t20 performances so lets not waste breath discussing that format

Curtly Ambrose was an amazing bowler and the best WI bowler ever produced after MM. I would put him behind Mcgrath & steyn though who performed amazingly in batting eras. these are my top 10 fast bowlers of all time

1. Mcgrath(Best)
2. Marshall(amazing stats. but i would give a slight edge to Mcgrath as he bowled in batting friendly era & was a way better LOI bowler)
3. Hadlee( cant look past his stats.)
4. Steyn( amazing bowler. best of the modern era)
5. Ambrose( 2nd best WI pacer ever)
6. Wasim(best left handed pacer of all time)
7. Donald
8. Lillie( first modern fast bowler)
9. Anderson( have to be in the list for the longevity & all those wickets)
10. Imran Khan

There is no need for hyperbole. McGrath would have to be twice as good as everyone else to gain that accolade, but he wasn’t better than several other guys I could name.

You could name whoever you want but that wont change the fact that McGrath is the only pacer picked by 99% of every pandit/expert/ex-cricketer who has compiled an all-time best test 11.

Agree with cricketing brain and strategy, but great leadership does not impact bowling results

McGrath was probably better than any bowler ever (bar Warne maybe) at forming a plan and working a batsmen out, hence winning this as well

I'd have Marshall ahead of McGrath and Anderson at like 20, but apart from that it's good

Greig and Faulkner are mediocre, Stokes is better than the duo.

Faulkner averaged 41 with the bat, 27 with the ball. Basically no one has averaged >40 and <30. Mediocre?

Greig is highly underrated. Stood up to Lille and Thompson, and was a very handy bowler

Greig was very important. He also did well against WI with bat and ball. He could bowl awkward FM stuff from his great height or bowl offies. He got ten in a match in WI that way. Excellent catcher too. Stokes is probably more comparable to Greig than to Botham.

Good list. I could argue about some of the placings. But I would drop Anderson and bring in Fred Trueman. Ray Lindwall should be in somewhere too.

I'd rate McGrath above Ambrose by a smidgen. Both better test bowlers than Wasim as well.

To go off on a tangent, I swear Dale Steyn is criminally overrated on this forum. Sure, he was the best bowler in the past decade and a half, but it's a tad strange that his peers don't seem to rate him quite so highly nor is his legacy considered close to the likes of McGrath, Wasim, or Ambrose.
