Hello PP fellas, I have a serious question. I want to know how important is your leg when it comes to playing cricket ? How does a pair of strong legs play a vital role in cricket especially in Batting and SPIN BOWLING ? Im a leg break bowler, I've been struggling to feel the power surge from my legs that i should be able to according to 2 local coaches,(1 played FC in India) and the book THE ART OF WRIST SPIN BOWLING ? I also want to improve at batting, i'm unable to move my legs well as i want to when I'm batting. Could this be due to my heavier upper body and weak legs ? Please share your knowledge and thought with us. Please no troll answers such as "you need your leg to run" and etc

Personally I feel that having strong legs is vital to your success.

I have a faulty left knee, hence I cannot run without being cautious.

But I bowl spin, so I can play even with a faulty knee.

You need legs to run is not a troll answer. Infact one of the most common exercise we need to keep fit in cricket is running.
For fast bowler, you need strong back and shoulders. Spinners however, can survive with a thin body like saqlain.
Strong legs might be important, as spinners need to bowl extended spells.

If you talk about international cricket, it will pretty hard.
Knee takes the pressure when you land your feet during your bowling action. Need to have a strong knee, especially if it is the foot you land on.
