Trump's presidency is off to a.... rocky start.

He's seemingly the first President to actually go through with his campaign promises and it's resulted in an extremely polarised country with several protests against him in just the first week.

Will he last for his tenure of four years? Could he even be elected TWICE?

I feel like he's gonna resign in a couple years if not earlier, which would be worse cause Pence would takeover and then likely get elected in 2020, leaving the Republicans in charge for 8 years.

I think his plan is to start a whole Trump dynasty to rule over USA. So his sons will also run for president.
#IlluminatiConfirmed

In all seriousness, I hope he gets impeached ASAP.

He's gonna complete 4 years. He won with a republican house and a senate and american voters knew what they were getting so no reason for impeachment.

8 easily by passing h1b bill he will even have educated tech populist votes, not sure if people are noticing but the mood is changing among the ones who were hard done by H1b and a lot of them were Trump haters.

Depends upon the outcome of the war(s) he starts, when he starts it/them, and who against. Yes, the U.S., with its firepower, will win - initially (as v. Afghanistan & Iraq) but at what cost?

Early days.

If he doesn't "settle" into his role, 4 years might be all he gets.

Plus, who is going to run opposite of him? A lot of variables at play and its been a week. :))

In November I would have said no more then a year...

However, the world has changed and it wouldn't surprise me if he does two terms.

God help us all

why his term is dependent on the war.. previous war criminals like obama and Bush lasted two terms irrespective of the atrocities they committed in terms of war.. why do you think it will be different for Trump..

As I said, it depends upon who he takes on, and the cost to the USA of 'winning'. (The USA will 'win' in terms of initial military victory due to it's superior firepower, but as Iraq and Afghanistan have shown, real victory should be judged based upon the aftermath, and on both counts, the USA 'lost' in Iraq and Afghanistan).

The 'cost' is not simply in terms of killed or wounded manpower. If, for example, Trump gets the USA involved in a military confrontation with China (even if it's not an all out war), the mid to long term effects to the U.S. economy will be devastating. Remember the 1993 election slogan “It's the economy, stupid”?

He'll be home in time for Christmas, what what.

On a serious note, he is going to end up being like one of those stubborn yellow bogeys that, in spite of your best efforts, you just can't fish out of your nose.

8 years probably.

8yrs.

He is "trying" to make America great again according to the US citizens.

Hope he doesn't start the 3rd WW before being gone..

I love America and don't want it to get ruined by a lunatic.

Wondering what all those people saying "Obama and Trump are equally bad; two sides of the same coin" are thinking right now .... :)

All Presidents of USA are many sides of the same coin :uakmal They all follow a fixed pattern.Start some wars and mess it up badly.

its almost impossible for an american president to get impeached so atleast 4 years minimum, unless he resigns off his own accord or due to health

Clinton was impeached man thats only 2 Presidents ago.

I expect Trump to do two terms. Even the liberal Americans will realise his importance when he creates more jobs by making it harder for more intelligent immigrants to take those jobs. I'm sure of it. However, the US economy may struggle. A slump is inevitable as most businesses will relocate in Asia. Possibly India and China.

The impeachment was not upheld though.

Given that impeachment and removal from office is such an extreme measure, it requires a higher-than-usual majority, namely a two-thirds majority, to be passed in the Senate - and the Republicans comfortably control both Congress and the Senate at the moment.

So a successful impeachment against Trump is frankly difficult to envisage.

I have no idea how he will do it but the guy is a survivor!

Impossible to predict the future.

But Trump may do irreparable damage. Now he wants to roll back the Dodd-Frank banking regulations introduced after the financial crisis, which was pretty mild anyway. So the banks are going to be even less regulated !
