I have some books which I want to digitize so that I have a backup copy with me..
How much does it cost to properly digitize a book (so that the text is also searchable rather than just having scanned copies of pages)??

If you are based in the US you can use a service like this. http://1dollarscan.com
Otherwise if you have your own scanner you could do it yourself most of the newer scanners come with ocr software so the text is searchable or upload to google doc that has an ocr system as well.
