How should Pakistan utilize Fakhar Zaman in the remaining games of the World Cup?

Its obvious that he is not consistent and seems to be struggling in this tournament. But what are the options left for Pakistan now? There is no backup opener in the squad so options seem limited.

So how should Pakistan handle this situation, assuming we can somehow make it to the semis as well.

If they drop him they will never open with Babar and bring in Asif for later which is the most reasonable option given our resources.They will open with Hafeez and perhaps even add Malik for the middle order which would be the absolute worst outcome.
So best keep him for now and if he fails continously he should be shown the door after the WC.

Open with Babar and Imam well thats been the case most of this world cup anyway.
Either drop Fakhar to no.6 as a lower order hitter/fnisher on the old ball, get those crucial runs or drop him for Asif Ali who can't do any worse in that position.

Enough with Fakhar, he is a walking wicket and we already have a walking wicket in Hafeez too so one walking wicket is enough in the team.

I would prefer Sarfraz to open and hit out. He isn't doing much batting atm.

Fakhar at 6 would be a good move, he can come in and take the bowlers to the cleaners.

However if Fakhar finds form, opening will almost ensure a match winning knock if he gets going.

The way i see it, Pak players are like a box of chocolates lol you never know what you are going to get. Just when you finish yelling on social media about dropping someone, he will surprise you with a score. Then you will switch to someone else. That someone else will score something just when you think he is a huge liability. This is how Malik has been surviving in this set up even though he made debut in the 90s. Consistency should have higher reward. Wait and watch. Fakhar will score a 100. In that match someone else will fail. You will go after him. This cat and mouse game has been going on between Pak fans and Pak players for far too long.

Management made mistake by not playing Asif Ali - Poor management.
